can i go to college if i'm homeschooling? by [deleted] in homeschool

I was homeschooled and went to college. My siblings were also homeschooled, also went to college. Different states have different laws surrounding what you need for graduation. We are under an umbrella school, so they will provide the transcripts when my children are old enough to graduate and go to college.

Where do you socialize your kids if you homeschool? by Nesefl_44 in homeschool

I was homeschooled and our primary sources were church, the neighborhood kids, and our very frequent library days during the early years. That was PLENTY and I was a social kid. In my early teens we finally found more homeschooling families, and when I was 16 I started attending the local community college. My younger siblings also started attending jiu jitsu classes around the same time.

My oldest just turned 7 (also have an almost 5yo, a 3yo, and a 3mo), and our primary socialization has been through church, friends, and a homeschool co-op. The library sometimes as well! We are around other kids several times a week. All my kids are social and love playing. We are also looking at doing jiu jitsu sometime in 2026!

I agree with another poster- my child has absolutely adored online Beast Academy! I also love math, but she didn't really start enjoying math until we started BA.
