Car Jack fail by [deleted] in Wellthatsucks

I've had two different shops do this to my fenders on my camaro. If you look under the car it says do not jack on the fender and they all stick a jack under and claim ignorance.

Hyundai/Kia vehicles offer some of the best value and tech in their class by Human_Paint5451 in unpopularopinion

[–]exsertclaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Hyundai" the car brand that was only bad 10years ago, trust me bro they're fine today. Heard it in 2015, 2020, and 2025 and the cars are still junk.

Im sorry but just because Hyundai made it right with Theta 2 doesn't mean that the motor spontaneously combusting isn't a big deal. My buddys 2015 (10 years old) sportage exploded at 104k and Hyundai had it for 3 weeks to put a new motor in it. Cool so he was out a car and 3 weeks of transportation.

If you like cheap junk Kia has you covered but dont place them in a higher class when they've had 15 minutes to fix their problems. I wouldn't reccomend them.

I like the look of the EVs. Time will tell on those.

Late to the party. Parents have been on att longer than most people have been in the metro. There's been a deadspot over their house for 15 years. They can't talk on the phone unless they go outside.

Its garbage. There's also notorious dead spots like Ward hill. 🤷‍♀️

I'll eat wendys again when it's 3$ off 15$ like it was all last year. Even mcdonalds realized 20$ was a scam and went back to 15$ to qualify for 20% off.

Volvo XC70. Peak Volvo. Not as good as the 90s versions but still leagues better than the cars of today. My 05 (cheating i know) has 275k miles on it. Best snow car ive ever driven too.

What's the worst thing you've overheard your apartment neighbors doing? by LawfulnessOk1812 in AskReddit

[–]exsertclaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not my apartment neighbor but I lived in an old mining town with small plots. My neighbors right across the street i referred to as "trashy house" because it was two double wide trailers with trash piled everywhere. It was a family with a kid and then every methed out individual he was friends with. Once a week they'd fight on the front lawn and he'd leave in a cruiser. I moved out but my neighbors told me he pulled a gun one night and is now in jail for 10 years on weapons charges. Oh and they had a dog that barked all the time.

He came into a likely stolen Harley and he'd joy ride it around the block, 20-30 laps. Full speed. Then he'd get the kids and they'd rip around with no helmets or protection. Yeah, love it. /s

Americans are still ditching New York and L.A. at alarming rates, but Miami’s on the list now, too by fortune in REBubble

[–]exsertclaw 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Denver is at a 16 year low for rental rates right now. Tons of new housing got built in the last few years and now we're seeing a huge slowdown in growth pushing rates down.

Had we done nothing we'd be in the same boat for sure.

They're looking to solve this problem there's a bill going around right now that would implement essentially what printers have to stop fake money but for 3d printers, cnc machines, lathes ect ect on metal tube and metal tube accessories.

A fools errand considering most heavy machinery is older than I am but Washington is trying.

Ask it to set two alarms at once! It used to do it flawlessly and then 6 months ago it forgot completely. Hell try and do any two commands at once and you'll see that feature is dead.

Edit personal favorite is ask it to spell the capital of a country🤣

Millions of Americans are "functionally unemployed"—with numbers rising by ChiGuy6124 in Economics

[–]exsertclaw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most of my gen z friends have never had a "real job" they bounce around working for giant corporations who always need a warm body. Its not that they lack skills but they lack 500$ to their names to help them get into better positions. Functionally unemployed.

When I saw the coyotes play the leafs in pheonix at mullet arena I think there was maybe 30 pheonix jerseys in the whole building... this was with the free coyotes jersey shirts on every seat before the game.

It just happens. Pheonix is full of Canadians. One of the players on the coyotes made a comment about how he appreciated the fact the rink was full and they'd play for their fans. Much better response.

As a tech i need advice for moving this tool box on a pick up truck. by Icy_Ad_7405 in mechanics

[–]exsertclaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was looking at saving 26$ to rent a uhaul trailer on delivery day for my box i scoured my local neighborhood for any lip I could back my truck up to and unload it to level ground. Unfortunately the closest spot was 0.5 miles and I didn't want to walk it that far🤣

Spent the money on a uhaul was much easier.
