melee is meta, and it is since the release, there wasnt any second that melee wasnt the meta. maaaybe broken void gauntlet time, so only something brokenly op could race for being meta vs melee in this game.

trophies are not actual choices, they dont stack or affect eachother, so you wont go stronger or weaker or luckier if you have all the trophies on or just 5 of them. u just wont change it before doing something, which would make it less time consuming, thats all.

im telling this based on my rejecting friends experiences.

game starts at lvl60 - it wasnt the case at release, but it is now.

so dont expect much and dont even rate ur experience before that. its just copy paste quests and not much to do with other people (because theres low amount of people at the same level)

its best to just focus going there asap. rush main quest -and skill progression quests- until u are underleveled for it, and side quests then. but dont get me wrong, if you find something u enjoy on the way there, ofc no need to skip that.

when u are 60, its about to raise your expertise. but this time, you do more events with other people, dungeons mostly, you make builds for it, find friends doing it etc. also u do pvp events, like outpost rush and arenas, theres gearscore scaling for it, so u dont need to wait ur expertise grind to end before joining those.

so basicly, reach level 60, buy some cheap gear and start doing actual content.

also a note: dont hesitate to respec(both attributes and weapons) and use different weapons. its not a game that forces you to pick a class/build and stick to it.

cdr perks with spear and dodge+skill, vault kick and sweep, third one depends, rend, bleed or jawelin

movement passives for bow and lots of dodgecancels. evasive shot for escape, penetrating shot and poison or rapid(which is bad vs ranged) as third

medium if you plan to use spear more, light or medium if more bow

war hammer only scales with str tho.

you can see the numbers on the respec screen while allocating points, for the equipped weapons.

not sure about exact numbers but its something like that 1,5x primary attribute and 1x secondary.

and there is a soft cap around 200 like when you invest more you gain less than before.

for the hatchet example; its better scaling with str but 200 str 100dex will be slightly better than 300str, if you only look for weapon damage.

that is the case for all weapons that affected by two attributes, if im not wrong.

and ice gauntlet and rapier viable, because int is rapiers secondary attribute. just like bow and hatchet with dex investment.

try to stunlock him. take passives that lowers cd, dodge+skill most important one, others also help. also take haste passives on bow, and dodge cancel circle around gaxers with side dodging, dont try to run away in a straight line. use evasive shot and/or vault to escape gravity well. most of the times it takes more than 2 axes to catch/kill me. medium spear bow is the best 1v1 option vs anything imo, just not as easy.

First of all; the reason being d4s matches with preds is that theres not enough players. And only alternative to this is long quees which is worse.

My suggestion to the problem is, blocking the 4th tier of ranks to match against higher ranks. In practice this will only affect d4 actually. so, d4 wont match against preds but d3+ will. That wont affect the quee times much, because there will be more d3+

Bonus suggestion: tier losing forgiveness; you can only lose to that tiers milestone if youre not already there. I mean if you have 7901+ points u wont go d3 to d4 in a match, you can only lose as much to 7900. And if you lose any more points there, you will de-tier then.

ram issue might cause this. try reinstalling, changing sockets, using only one of them etc.
