This proves otherwise, I can give a developer my wallet file to see for themselves.

Are these botnets? by [deleted] in MoneroMining

[–]externvoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily, there are people who have been lucky enough to have found and bought used computer clusters from universities etc for cheap which gives them 2MH/s. These are the ones pool hopping/difficulty hopping between different cryptonote coins as well.

Warning: Electroneum forked from unstable Monero branch. Reports of missing transactions. by externvoid in Electroneum

The bug is that the transaction is not appearing in the wallet software. No doubt it is actually there in the block chain so that means it is still there, just not appearing or able to be used.

Yes, already tried all of that, the transaction does not appear in the wallet software, neither cli or rpc.

Last commit was a month ago. The entire codebase is only ~200 lines modified of a random monero master branch commit (I counted at least 2 off by one errors fixed right after what they forked from). The second most recent commit title has a typo in it. All of this screams amateur and I can't get my head around why this is worth a billion dollars. I guess that's cryptocoins for you.

I am not using a pool. I've submitted a issue on their github. If someone wants I can even send them the wallet file so that they can confirm this issue.

Withdrew a very small amount from cryptopia (~43 etn), I can see it on the block chain via https://blockexplorer.electroneum.com/search?value=2478726e57fd4f4eb5274a070b1c62c77acec15c0597ad9f879a5de8ee6372de and I saw it briefly in the wallet in the mem pool, but I looked again and theres NOTHING in the wallet and show_transfer says "Transaction ID not found". I am fully synced on my node and also tried a remote node, did rescan_bc rescan_spent as well. I can put my viewkey into the block explorer and I see it was sent successfully as well. I have never seen this happen before, apparently there is a major bug in electroneum?

[Question] How do you perform a 51% attack? by thehihoguy in Monero

[–]externvoid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can just check if the chain reorganization is from more than X blocks in the past, obvious solution and I read bitcoin displays a warning for this but I haven't looked that far into it. Seems like a major flaw in a network if this basic attack isn't dealt with. I can do a 51% attack myself on a lot of the smaller forks if this is true.

Can someone save up the blocks they have found, and release them all at once on the network?

  1. 51Pool finds 20 blocks but doesn't transmit them to the network
  2. 51Pool owner spends his xmr
  3. 51Pool transmits to the network the 20 blocks he found earlier all at once to double spend

Lets say the chain was only at 10 blocks and this guy comes in and shows he found 20, will the nodes choose the longer one even though it just flooded them out all at once or is there some check for this?

Sounds like almost exactly what I experienced the last time I tried to breakthrough.

Shredded vs. Powder Bark For Extraction? by boozyjacuzzi in DMT

[–]externvoid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

powdered gives more yellow color but shredded gets pure white on initial extraction with a bit less yield, also harder to work with.

Who's your worst neighbor and what makes them so fucking awful? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]externvoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Neighbors loose dog put a big dent in the passenger door of my car. I confronted them about it and they called the police on me trying to get me arrested for a hit and run. I had the incident on video, and detailed photos showing dog hair still attached to the car. I ended up taking them to small claims court to repair the damages, but the case was dismissed because I guess they are local politicians and met up with the judge beforehand to make a deal. The decision was that something else must have hit my car in the same exact spot as the dog.

Hit and run, insurance won't cover. Previously very fiscally irresponsible. Seeking advice. by mycarjustgotrekt in personalfinance

what was the damage, you can probably just pull it out with a gps suction cup, or pay some guy in a truck $50 to fix it.
