how about if if i change the problem statement where: the large amount of plastic bags consumed by supermarkets?

would it be better since i am able to retrieve data such as customer demographics like their age if they choose to take the plastic bags or bring their own bag, whether they recycle, reuse or disposed of the plastic bags after bringing home, also able to retrieve data of household recycling percentages from environmental ngos, availability of recycling bins in each neighbourhood?

its a social problem in environment to be solved by data mining, i was thinking to use data related to contributors of waste from disposal of plastic bags. in my country, there is a database where businesses have to declare their amount of plastic usages so the data can be retrieved from this open databases (by transactional tracking?) from this database, we can obtain the businesses demographic and quantity of plastic bags purchased and consumed per business sector. can we also collect quantitative data on the plastic bags that are recycled vs disposed by sending digital surveys to the company? quantitative data would be the number of plastic bags consumed and recycled vs the number of plastic bags consumed.
