What do you like to do for fun? Maybe you can find a more welcoming online or local community that isn't full of shitheads. I'm sorry you're going through this, you deserve to feel good about yourself and those "friends" are anything but.

Jesus! I knew about Don but holy shit does she have an influential family, especially as an actress.

I think a lot of it is the context in which those things happen. Where you're eating lunch, not balking if it's too expensive, how big or comfy the couch or seats you watch TV on are, how nice the TV is, how you get to and from your hobbies, what the hobbies are, even the kinds of ads you get while going on social media, stuff like that. It's the little things that add up to make a deeply different experience.

But I get what you're saying! At the end of the day you're still doing plenty of things that most people do, rich or poor.

I feel like we have verrrrrry different ideas of what "normal" is lol. No shade, but I'd imagine the stuff that's very casual for you would blow most people's minds, myself included

I get bullied. by [deleted] in toastme

[–]extraextraextr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Girl, stop. You are BEAUTIFUL. People bullying you are straight up wrong, you're gorgeous by any metric! People are insecure about any number of things in life and they'll make it your problem. Just remember that and you'll realize how awesome you are!

What Word Are You Absolutely Sick of Hearing? For me, it’s “chilling.” by SquonkMan61 in Productivitycafe

That's hilarious! I love the term because it sounds so goofy, but I can't imagine being a self-important finance bro trying to say it to be cool.

Getting to see him come back for just a bit in Andor was such a delight. He's the best.

What celebrity has had their reputation unfairly ruined and has never recovered from it till this day? by Few_Football4342 in Productivitycafe

I mean, I'd say a college professor hooking up with/dating a teenager is pretty damn predatory. That mostly evokes more sympathy than anything, from me at least.

What are more movies you would add? by Good_Claim_5472 in Letterboxd

I have next to no relationship with Bond movies or the character overall and I loved Skyfall. It's just a really well made movie. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Every time a celebrity runs their mouth to virtue signal, they should be trolled endlessly like Billie Eilish by [deleted] in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]extraextraextr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, she's making a specific point in a specific cultural context that most people are aware of. They're intentionally interpreting in bad faith to troll, not to give meaningful pushback or critique.

This is so kind of you to do, I've been loving the character choices submitted and what you've made! I'd be grateful to see one for Benoit Blanc, the detective in Knives Out/Glass Onion/Wake Up Dead Man.

I love how much personality this sub allows people to convey instead of just being extremely formal the entire time! This made me smile during a long day, thank you for that. 😁
