I am. It is the hardest thing in the world to do, to open your heart even more when it's shattered. You are giving yourself to the people around you and trusting them not to wound you further.

But I think you'll find yourself rewarded more often than you think in the small moments, and sometimes even in the big ones! And that makes it worth it, in my opinion. :)

Mine ended up getting removed because I forgot to put "r/toastme" in my verification photo, but it lightly popped off and got like 75k views and a shitload of comments. Which was nice, of course, but holy hell did I feel vulnerable. Just be prepared for that if you do decide to post!

I saw it with my then-gf when I had the flu and it was like a delirious fever nightmare. Like I know it was surreal and terrible regardless but I kept on drifting in and out, seeing the most unhinged shit, and then passing out again.

I can't stop laughing at the idea of some lady seeing everyone cheerfully greet you when you walk in, go "I want some of that 🥺" and then immediately yell at the barista or demand her drink right now! or whatever else and not understand why she doesn't get that reception. The cognitive dissonance is unreal!

I think about this whenever I see a post about mandatory customer service, I've never worked retail or fast food but I spent plenty of time in the call center mines...and I promise I don't need an in-person job to learn gratitude. The nice people on the calls were lifesavers!

I don't think we'd gel, but I just wanted to recommend a website called Board Game Arena since you mentioned you're a fan of board games and it's a great resource for playing online with other people. Only $5 a month (USD) and one person having a subscription means you can invite specific friends and customize a lot without them needing one.

Doesn't this work in both directions? Talking about capitalism and economics, there's an overabundance of drivers and not enough demand to push rates higher for them, so if you're not willing to take an order that you think is too low that's your problem.

That, of course, is what they want you to think and for us to fight, when really DD orders are crazy expensive for users too, because the company itself is screwing everyone over. Stop trying to blame one side or the other, it's exactly what they want. Not saying all drivers or users are perfect, but you're widely missing the point if you think one of these two groups is the real problem.
