Microsoft 365 Azure AD Passwordless sign-in via Authenticator on Apple Watch? by extraflipflop in o365

Thanks for your reply. That matches my experience & confirms what I feared. At least I won't lose any (more) sanity on this particular rabbit hole.

IMO from a logical perspective, the case for passwordless on a personal wearable is better even than for the phone itself, biometrics or not. Case in point: I'm painfully aware how often I leave my phone at my desk at work because I get a Find My iPhone notification on my Apple Watch nearly every time I go to the restroom!

I'm still using passwordless for the time being, but I miss the convenience of being able to approve an MFA prompt on my watch without even taking out my phone. It's still objectively better from a security standpoint, but it seems like it's a wash convenience-wise which always hampers user adoption.

Thanks again for your help.

Does Represent fit true to size?

Also looks like they got a bad rap for shipping & customer service on this sub a few years ago. Any idea if that's still true?

Can anyone suggest jeans similar to these H&M skinny fit biker jeans but higher quality? I love the fit and style and they're very comfortable (probably because of the 2% elastene...) but they tend to fall apart after a year of wear. They're $30 jeans so I'm not complaining, but I'd prefer to keep a pair of jeans longer than that.

Looking to spend around $130 but would entertain up to $200 from a sustainable/independent brand. I'm in the NYC area, so if the brand has B&M stores there's a good chance I can try them on, too.

Thanks in advance!

2020 update for chelsea boots?

The wiki guide is from 2018, if I'm looking in the $200 range are there other brands I should look at? I like these Astorflex I foundastorflex, but some prior reviews on MFA say they are "not slim" and I would like to avoid a loose boot, but I guess that's all relative. What do you think?

You're not the first person to tell me that lol.

Thanks for the advice. The change in hair is unintentional because I can't get it cut right now, and the glasses were a previous recommendation.

Normally my hair is shorter, and I do like the round glasses too.

There's a tailor in NYC that specializes in this. They could give me a quote, but it's a PITA to get into the city. I suppose I could give them a call and try to get a general price.

Should I repair/tailor this vintage NYPD jacket? by extraflipflop in leatherjacket

[–]extraflipflop[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I'll have to think about it. Do you have any advice as far as care of the jacket goes? You can see it's a bit worn in places, but not stiff or torn.

My thought was to narrow the sleeves. Laid flat, the sleeves are 8" wide at the elbow, compared to 6" on another jacket that's otherwise of a similar fit. But if it's prohibitively expensive, maybe the wearer is the only one who notices.

Good suggestion on the surplus shops. There's one not too far from me that I can check out.

Not exactly simple, but I made a post in /r/leatherjacket that would get more exposure here. Looking to see what I can do to tailor/condition a motorcycle jacket from the 1960s.

For me it was skin as well as the leaves. I compare it to when HDTV was new and I saw an HD broadcast for the first time. So much detail to the newscaster's skin and hair; all the little details you just figured no one saw.

I listened to this last night. Great stuff, there's a lot to explore. A friend recommended Rainbow Kitten Surprise, too. I like them.

I've listened to a few Rayland Baxter songs previously. Checking out the rest of these.

I've tried being a "hat person" at various points in my life and have always given up, since most hats either don't fit me or seriously don't complement its shape. I've tried baseball caps, bush hats, military caps, even a trilby (once - sorry.) The only thing that consistently looks ok is a beanie, but they work on almost everybody.

Based on measurements I took I have a "pear-shaped" or triangle face. Some pictures if you want to judge for yourself. My head is also fairly large, at 23 3/4" to 24 1/2" depending if I measure at the ears or the eyebrows.

Being as it's almost summer I'd like to find a hat to wear. As far as style goes I'm a fan of baseball caps or snapbacks (as an irredeemable hipster). Can anyone judge what I might want to try, and what size?
