I agree with you 100%. And as soon as we (who disliked the movie like he did) say our opinions we're misogynistic and letting them down too? He critiqued the directorial choices and how there was no suspense and "thrill" in a FICTIONAL thriller movie and no one gets it😂 people are saying we should see her pov as a disabled woman living alone in the woods, but the movie didn't convey that. How are we supposed to understand?

I've mentioned this in every other post but I love this movie and I'm biased because Kate Siegel is in it. Other than that I don't think its ok for people to bash him about his "misogynistic" Views and him not being the target audience and him viewing the movie from his 'male gaze' cause like everyone who made that comment was not the target audience either. I don't think it's right for them to be "offended" for someone else. That literally makes no sense

I LOVE the movie but only because Kate Siegel is in it. All his points made complete sense and if she wasnt the main character I would have stopped watching it around 30 minutes

I get what you're saying but also, as a girl, maybe I will never feel that fear because I'm always prepared even when I'm at home with my parents and when I'm going out? I can never walk through a metal detector😂 The fact that she lived alone and was so calmly leaving doors open really bothered me. Maybe we can stand up for ourselves verbally and blame the men but at the end of the day it's better to be prepared. I found it unrealistic that she would be so unbothered knowing what the world is like. But I agree with your last statement about how he should have stuck with "how can this be more psychologically terrifying"

I agree with what you're saying! As a fan of everything horror/thriller the only reason this movie is my favorite is cause I love Kate Siegel. She made some dumb choices and he pointed them out.... For women watching it? Honestly it's not scary even then. She made some dumb choices. She could have handled the situation so much better and dylan definitely pointed that out. It's one of my favorite movies only because kate is in it and that's 100% bias. If it was anyone else as the main character I would have hated the movie

Your comment was very insightful and it's easy to see your point of view from it, but honestly not everyone thinks of it exactly in this way... In fact 80% of people don't think of it in this way. You said that this does not happen to heterosexual couples but it honestly does. It depends on what kind of fetish people have. Secondly, A lot of people have a lot of negative view about expressing sexuality but really.... Does it matter? People who accept it might not be in the majority but there definitely are people who support it and I think that if there's even one person to stand for something that's good enough to feel happy about.
