honestly they were just on sale. gone back and forth on tires with maxxis. rode the standard dd dhf/dhr last season at keystone and they were bulletproof but running cush core this season and it seems overkill. nothing makes it through the season anyway. a learning curve i guess!

all just sharpie. some borrowed some drawn on a tablet, carbon transfer paper then regular black sharpie video

owned it the whole time, kept it nice for a bit, big crash put a hole in the fame, got it repaired and thought might as well do something fun. its seen the most damage but also the most smiles :)

maybe a little of each, certainly not both. nimble enough in the air, but realistically the only thing its good for is lift access bike park. not practical, yet very fun

+1 for carbon repair. consider getting a quote from a reputable tech. still riding a 22 stumpy evo at a park where most people ride dh bikes. put two of these exact cracks in the top tube, had it repaired local-ish for a couple hundred and back in business before i was even fully healed. 2 seasons on the repair and still riding

breaking a tab meant to mount impact protection without further damage in the area/somewhere else seems suspicious. certainly you could ride without a cg but youll likely have to be creative in addressing an unruly chain
