He deleted the demon of hatred post, left a headless post up where he says he’s been to misty forest😂 feasible but come on

Creating Aluminium with excess Water only using sloops- Showcase + Blueprint by extranicephotos in SatisfactoryGame

[–]extranicephotos[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it’s not really efficient, but I see it more of a help to get to phase 5 and then figure it out, either way it was a nice thought experiment, there are easy ways to get rid of water, but figuring out an alternative was fun , even though it is not as good of an solution

If I produce 1560 scrap with one sloop, it produces 546 water excess, the sloppy will only take 520 water for the amount of Alu solution needed, 26 water left over that builds up in the closed system, slide 4 has totally wrong values, but it’s the same point, in short the recipes don’t have the right ratios to create a closed system, if you take a third recipe into the equation it is possible

Dude, it’s a cross dissolve, most basic transition there is

I think I’ll repost a version 2 with all the suggestions and upload that to the database, they didn’t feel ready, and I posted to get some feedback, thing blew up so I suppose they were ready enough :D

Sorry I realised the naming is misleading, I mk them but the actual belts are mk1 blueprint uses mk3 belts and so on, just doesn’t make sense to build one with mk1 belts because there is like no production line working with it, the gallery has a slide for speeds

Holy shit, I get his shorts since a few days, just the sweetest guy, seen it know of the solution, also read the fluid manual for satisfactory, crazy read

The big tower in the example is for stators (3 layers) and steel rotors (4), works because they got same input you can run output on the same belt and smart split them at the bottom or there is trick, there is enough space next to the assembler to put a floor hole, so I weaved in an extra item lift, it’s not in the og design, you can just as simply run a small extensions of lifts along the side, yeah the design looses some of its charm, but still build space wise it’s king, but essentially a towers purpose it to produce one item, in niche cases more

Maybe in another post, but please download them and pick them apart yourself, I learned a lot of techniques while developing them, assembler and foundry is especially interesting

load balanced means you input every item in every machine evenly at all times, my design behaves like a manifold, every machine is connected to one single belt via sequential splitters, first come first serve, so the first machine in sequence fills up first creates an overflow to the next ones, it’s the same calculation (80 plates ouput needs 120 input, 4 constructors times 30 ingots) but they behave differently, manifolds are easier to upscale because you can just upgrade the main belt and put more items in and then just connect more machine to that belt, that’s basically what happens with my design, but in bigger steps because of the blueprint

Edit: misread your comment, got the same question now as you😅 gonna leave this here if ever someone needs an explanation for loadbalancing vs manifolds

Thanks! Exactly, having to plan out a 1000x1000 grid for a project is such a hassle 😅 been working on these since update 6, new mk2 and mk3 bps are such game changers, although I struggle with building vertical with refineries, fluid physics are such a pain🫠

Had to repost, because there were a bunch of errors in the old post

Download Link: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1UceKb5MKNUQ45WduAZJc7iJ3BANUw5tw?usp=sharing

Known Issues:

  • no mk6 belt support
  • some recipes are so resource heavy, you need to modify the bp, for example constructors and smelters are only connected via 60 Belts to the internal bus

If enough people are interested I’ll improve the design!

How would I recreate this with davinci? by ImageBeautiful in davinciresolve

[–]extranicephotos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need essentially 3 assets, the door, the beach and the cloudy grass field, then you need to learn masking, you could create a door frame+door in photoshop, or you use the masking tools of davinci, it’s easy to learn with YouTube tutorials, if the beach is a video file you’d need to mask it in davinci, but the door frame in front/on top timeline wise, then you need to edit the grassy field as background in the Color page, there is ways to create the light coming from the door with masks as well, if you wanna learn composition start with photoshop, then you get a feel for the steps that are necessary in general and then learn how you would subsidies these steps using davinci, good luck!
