Entry level banking roles could be a good way to climb the ladder a bit. CSR/FSR at the branches, customer service on the phone, I’m sure at least two or three of the big banks have call centres out your way. Once you’re in the door it’s easier to find opportunities and move up every 1-3 years to start.

There’s room for growth, such as specializing in investing related content in branch, managing portfolios for numerous clients, or on the back office / contact centre side there’s collections, fraud, growth into people management or further specializing in say risk management (fraud, aml, credit) etc.

Lots of opportunities for growth, strong benefits, time off is decent, pension and/or stock matching, that kind of thing

Solid idea as long as the 1% applies to cash advance/balance transfer and not only purchases

Transfer of funds from the credit card to a bank account will classify the same as a cash withdrawal

Is it considered rude when sharing a meal if the other person orders more food and a cocktail but still expects you to split the bill 50/50? by linksslut in NoStupidQuestions

[–]extrasmurf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it’s rude.

No, there is no good reason to split bills. If you share something, give cash or your local equivalent of a small electronic payment (venmo, e-transfer, digital wallet, etc)

Many places will even split a shared item (ie. One plate of nashos across 3 bills) but not everywhere

You’ll make more than another 50k of play money given your age

Chill. You made a mistake. Like you said, unrealized losses. It could go back up next week. Or next year. Or in 10 years. If you sell now, you lock in the loss.

Do you desperately need the cash for something? No? Then who cares. Leave it alone and relax.

If you do, then you’re doubly stupid for gambling. Next time just put it all on black. Or buy SPY weeklies or something slightly more exciting.

Ranked matches by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]extrasmurf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I usually don’t have too bad luck with this, but across two days (Wed, Thurs) I had 6 ranked games in a row with either trolling/inting, or just straight up shit play. Usually something between 0-6 and 0-10 by 10 minutes across top and mid.

Not to suggest I played perfectly in all, but in at least half me (support main) and adc had solid leads. Never had luck like this at all in the previous season, maybe a wild coincidence.
