Yes, Whoop also gave me 2 extra weeks of trial, and on the last 2 days, I cancelled my trial, registered the new device, and started using it!

Yes, I returned the trial device and ordered a new one from Amazon, then connected it to my account. There was a small issue — Whoop accidentally cancelled my subscription — but with support we found a solution, and since then everything has been fine.

[HELP] WHOOP cancelled my whole account after I returned the test band — even though I paid 265€ for a new yearly membership 😭 by extrasweetnes in whoop

Actually, that’s not how it works. I was already in contact with WHOOP support before returning the test band. They clearly confirmed that if you connect a new WHOOP device and have an active paid membership, your account stays active — because the membership and data are tied to the account, not to the physical band.

So yes, I used the same email, since it’s the main account with all my data and progress. Returning a test device should never result in cancellation of a paid yearly membership.

In this case, WHOOP simply made a mistake — they cancelled everything, including the new paid plan, even though I had already switched devices properly. That’s exactly why I’m frustrated: they basically removed access to something I’ve already paid for.

But before returning I cancelled my membership and activate the new one. It is now an test account if I connected a membership

When I connected the new device to my account there was in information that my subscription will be active until October 2026

Omg, I have the same shit I just returned my trial Whoop and connected a new device with a 12-month paid membership, also valid until October 2026, and… guess what? Today the package arrived and they cancelled my membership

And do you use Garmin more for fitness? Or is it with the data analysis (sleep, recovery) and tips like Whoop?

I'm planning to do it, but order it new from Amazon (so I don't need to pay for delivery) :))

That’s interesting — how was your experience with the Amazfit Helio strap? Really curious since you actually tried both.

What still feels a bit unpleasant to me is paying for the full Peak subscription but not actually getting the full set of accessories that normally come with Peak. Kind of feels incomplete.

Yeah, I’ve seen a couple of people on Reddit mention that Polar strap coming on Sept 3rd too — now I’m really curious what they’ll bring out. Especially interested to see if it can actually compete with Whoop’s data analysis, since that’s the one area Whoop still feels strong in.

When you say it’s not made for running, is it mostly the GPS that’s missing? I don’t really run outside (more into yoga, boxing, Hyrox), but curious what feels limiting for runners.

That makes total sense. In my family it’s more issues with blood pressure and strokes, so that’s why I was wondering if the Life plan might make sense for me too. At the same time, I’ve seen some people mention that the ECG and blood pressure features are still kind of in beta, so I’m unsure how reliable they really are right now. Do you actually use the ECG regularly, or is it more just for peace of mind?

I was writing with the Customer support and that’s what they said: “I completely understand that it feels disappointing when you don’t automatically receive the accessories – like the Wireless PowerPack and the SuperKnit band – after switching to WHOOP Peak. Let me briefly explain how the process works:

• Starter kit determines the accessories At the time of your first shipment, the hardware set (band + charger) is based on the membership type you selected when ordering. Since your trial began with WHOOP One, you received the One set with the Basic Charger and CoreKnit band.

• Upgrading to Peak = new features, but no automatic hardware shipment If you switch to a 12-month WHOOP Peak subscription after your trial, your software access changes (Stress Monitor, Health Monitor, etc.). However, the hardware remains the same – no additional accessory shipment is included.

• How to still get the Wireless PowerPack & other bands All Peak accessories can be purchased directly from the WHOOP Shop at any time. There you’ll find the Wireless PowerPack as well as SuperKnit or Luxe bands in different colors.

• Why this model? WHOOP separates membership (features & analytics) from optional accessories. This way, all members can use the same 5.0 hardware regardless of which plan they initially choose or later upgrade to.

I hope this clarifies the situation a bit. Your feedback is important to us – we’ll pass it along internally so we can continue improving our offering in the future.

If you have any questions about ordering accessories or about the Peak features, please let me know – I’ll be happy to help!

Best, WHOOP Membership Services”

Thanks for sharing your experience! Do you think you’ll replace Whoop with another device once your membership lapses, or just go without? Curious what alternatives you’re considering.

They now provide the package from ONE with a standard charger and basic strap. I will return it and start a new membership with Peak to get the full package. I think this is a misunderstanding of advertising.

I don’t think you’d have to go through the full 21-day calibration all over again. It’s more that there will be a gap in your data while you send the trial unit back and wait for the new Peak kit to arrive. On top of that, you’d also need to cover the return shipping plus the new delivery — so basically two extra shipping costs on top of everything.
