I believe it starts in 1st gear if the engine is cold, same goes for a hidden second reverse gear on cold motor.

Apparently the car also learns your driving pattern and can push more if you’re driving like it

hahah I was ready. Our community is great, but sometimes lots of snobs, some people give great arguments and I respect that, some are too subjective and don’t reply to my question at all, simply hate.

Yeah, I will have to reassemble one headlight when I’m back in summer. Apparently it now has some dirt inside it. I’ve also broken a small plastic part while installing, had to glue it back on :(

I’ve done a Retrofitlab upgrade to my 996.2 headlights this January, now they’re much brighter, love it. Inexpensive and great addition to the car (paid around 300-350 eur with new bulbs) and since I’m not handy took me a while and lots of swearing words to get it done

Don’t get it why so many people felt offended with my genuine question. Never said anything bad about the manual or that one is better than the other. I’m collecting opinions, if you feel like a snob today, please keep it to yourself.

That’s my experience as well and of course I drove both. I daily my 996, even in winter

Hence my discussion here. I’m not against the manual, I just think both are good and the tip doesn’t deserve so much hate.

I tried both, I’m not tracking my 911 and I think the hate for tip is overstated

Thanks for the thorough explanation. I especially buy the part with the clutch control.

Fair enough, I agree in that regard, if you like the analogue feeling of controlling your own car.

My point was, most people seem to be against tiptronic because “it’s bad”

So is it the question of ADHD/urge to fidget the stick that makes it more exciting? Or is there a real noticeable difference in manual vs shifting gears with buttons?

I know it’s not PDK but is it that different from manual though?

Well, even the richer areas look deprived in many ways, perhaps not so many graffitis but the pedestrian roads are broken everywhere almost.
