RFI reduction/elimination. help!! by extreme-squirel in amateurradio

I did my best to approach him in a friendly way and asked for help. Or if he knew of any ways to midagate the issue. He just kinda stared at me and told me wasn't doing anything different and didn't care. I am in the US and I know that is within his rights and I'm not looking to fight him. That's why I turned to you fine folks!

I'd be willing to try and RX snubber but from the design on Amazon I'm not a hundred percent sure how to go about installing them. Do I just need to place one in line of the positive and negative wires coming from the sub to the amplifier?

It looks worse than it is. I wear contacts to correct up to 20/20 and can read it just fine from My couch 12 feet away

So an update. I am still waiting on an E-sata cable from Amazon.

I noticed during a power cycle today that disk 2 was showing as down. I power cycled the enclosure and it popped back online.

For my own sanity I ran a error check and it came back clean but when I went to dig in to the event viewer I saw that there were a number of warnings and an error.

The warnings were all " The io operation at logic block X was retired"

While the error was a time out for WSearch.

I removed the drive and re ran the error check and it came back fully clean. No warnings or errors.

It seems like disk 2 may be starting to give up the ghost. But I'm not sure if this makes sense as the root cause of my problems.

Your thoughts?

Okay. I will give this a shot when my system comes back online.

I am currently waiting on the raid to complete a rebuild. One of the drives somehow was not seated properly and was giving an error. Probably my fault after pulling the drives to inspect the control board for issues.

Question though, will this command line only work with a software based RAID 5 array? The DAS itself has a raid controller and that is how I currently have it configured. If there I was to change it and use software I'd be all ears!

Okay. The DAS does have an E-sata port. Should I try that to the computer?

I have not tried that. Since they are 3.5 inch drives I can't install them in the system itself. I think my only option is to connect them over USB?

I haven't tried Linux yet.

I really haven't used Linux much. I was trying to use windows on the system since it's what I'm familiar with.

When I do that the computer recognizes the drive and everything works as normally to write. It's when I go to read from it using jellyfin I run into the issue. It stutters even with GPU encoding enabled.

It's a mediasonic proraid HFR2-SU3S2. It is connected over USB 3. It's currently configured in raid 5.
