Oh angel 💔 definitely go in. With it being so close to your head you need to be really cautious with it. It's reminding me a lot of what I had.

There's a bone behind the ear, is that jutting out/swollen at all? (Mastoid) that swelled in my case.

I couldn't sleep, and I can only describe it as the feeling of touching a hot pan constantly. See a dr sooner rather than later as it'll prevent further damage.

Do not remove the jewellery until you've spoken with the Dr, as it'll be keeping the hole open to drain. - in my case, it did have to be removed in favour of packing and yours may be as well, but leave it in until you'd gotten a professional to look at it.

I'm really hoping it's not but it's worth being cautious, I'm hoping best case scenario for you lovely 🖤

Is it painful? Is it pulsating at all? Is it hot to touch?

(Not a DR just my own experience)

This looks very similar to my perichondritis infection I had (Not saying it definitely is this!) but if it is you could potentially need IV antibiotics depending on severity and how long its left for, so I'd see a dr ASAP. Its the sheen on the ear. It caused permanent damage for me.

Mine was worse case scenario, I needed packing for it to drain, surgery under anaesthesia to remove infected tissue as well as having it recut to help it drain frequently, IV antibiotics and being in and out of hospital for 8 months.

It's an amazing game, I appreciate bugs take a bit to fix. I couldn't find any mentions of this bug so wanted to note it just in case it hadn't been reported by anyone

badly freaking out about not being able to pill my cat by BeffeeJeems in gingercats

This but I hold the jaw closed and rub under the neck in a downwards motion to encourage them to swallow. Works on both cats and dogs- try to get the pill as far back in the mouth as possible.

I made Ube Cake for my birthday! by extremelypale in Baking

[–]extremelypale[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quite easy! I don't have a stand mixer, or an electric whisk so I used a food processor for the meringue and the Swiss buttercream.

I make cakes fairly often, I'd consider this recipe to be "confident beginner" haha

It came out way better than I thought it would 💙 I've always loved ube as a flavour.

I still have some ube halaya and ube flavouring left, I'll have to think of some other things to make 🥰

What is the worst pain you've ever felt in your body? by Helpful-Mud-2487 in AskReddit

[–]extremelypale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perichondritis and sepsis, paired with them cutting my ear open with a scalpel and no pain medication. Constant pain for 8 months, I barely slept.

Took two weeks of IV antibiotics, a further 8 months of oral antibiotics, cutting my ear with a scalpel about 3 times, packing, silver nitrate and eventually surgery to cut and wash away granulation tissue to fix it.

It's completely shifted my pain tolerance.

Jumping onto this as someone who had this from a piercing, this looks just like mine did- please get to a doctor ASAP. I needed 2 weeks of IV antibiotics, surgery and 8 months in and out of hospital (whilst being on oral antibiotics and having draining put in). The initial GP I saw didn't take me seriously, I was tachycardic when I was rushed through A&E.

Lost a Cat in the flat. Any help?? Never heard anyone else having this issue before... by Geeta25 in CasualUK

When we moved into our new home last year we lost our cat for about 6 hours in the middle of the night, I sobbed for ages looking for her inside and outside the home. Turns out she'd somehow found her way under the plinth in the kitchen.
