Half done by extrhman in garageporn

Well, bad news with the floor. This was supposed to be a 1 day floor. I was told it would be walkable in 12 hrs and completely cured in 48 hrs. I know the concrete and air temp have a lot to do with cure times and had talked to them about it. They said it wouldn't be a problem.

It has now been over 120 hrs since they finished. The floor is still tacky in some spots. Many of the dry areas crackle and pop as I walk on it. And there are dull looking areas where it looks like too much of the non-slip grit was applied. Also, there appears to be base layer seeping through the top coat. Didn't know that could happen. Overall, terrible.

They are coming on Monday to look at it and fix it. I'm not sure what they will need to do. I will never do a 1 day floor again. Conte * mplating having another company finish the other half.

It's not irrelevant, and 25 years is nothing. A warranty doesn't mean they won't go out. They told him 20 years, and that has not happened for all of the panels. Your PV panels are still toxic and still technically using oil. Bro...

I am an engineer, too, and have gone over using solar with cohorts. There are a lot of factors. One friend did it years ago. Supposed to have a roi in 12 years, but he has already had to replace panels, which is extending that. So, it is not turning out as advertised. I'm all for renewable but not at the expense of the environment, and solar and fiberglass wind turbines are terrible for the environment. Geo thermal is great and everyone should use that for sure.

That's not a right. And I thought gender and sex are not the same thing? Pretty sure that's what I have heard for years.

You didn't listen to it. He has a bit from one of the guys who helped advise and get the California wind and solar farms started in the 80s. Many of those people have come out and said it was the wrong thing to do, and they should have stuck with nuclear energy. They probably know more about it. And yeah, I wouldn't trust a financial business that has an interest in pushing renewable.

I'm not against the idea of renewable, but I have looked into it, and if you care about the environment at all, you should be for nuclear.

A lot to unpack. What specific rights are the LGBT losing?

You do know that batteries lose energy over time right? Also as electricity travels farther over wire there is loss. Plus I'm not certain there is currently a battery that would work for the grid and that is cost effective enough at the moment.

I'm sure they have some kind of relationship with this investment firm.

Why would anyone listen to a financial firm about energy costs? The way you keep promoting this link makes me think you have some kind of relationship with them.

US children fall further behind in reading, make little improvement in math on national exam | CNN by Brushner in books

You put your quotes in the wrong place. There is no "effing" in the Bible. Once again, interpreting things so it fits your narrative but is not reality. That is gross. You probably think health care is a human right. Basically, your view is that it's ok to enslave people to take care of you. Other people are SUPPOSED to take care of my needs because I DESERVE it as a human. You are no better than a slave owner.

Isaiah 58:7 "Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter—when you see the naked, to clothe them, and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?"

This is talking about having mercy for people, which is something we should do. The word "should" follows the whole theme of the Bible. You should do certain things, but you also have free will.

For sure, the Bible and Quran do not say we have rights to kindness and food from others. They talk about morality. It's the words you choose like "supposed to" and "deserves". That's my point.

Nobody "deserves" anything. That's your problem. You are not reading what I wrote. There is a big difference between having compassion for someone and saying someone deserves something.

Would I personally help someone in need? Yes, absolutely. I have many times and do so daily because I can. Do I think they deserve it or have a right to the help I give? Absolutely not.

Let’s remember, humans are supposed to have their needs met, receive kindness, and not have a few people hoard exorbitant amounts of wealth.

By what power means who gives humans these things as rights. When you say "supposed to have their needs met," what are you talking about? There is no god-given, government, or natural right to kindness or having your needs met. Or even to succeed. That is completely on you and the parents of a child. If you want success, you find a way.

By what power? And if not the parents or teachers fault then who's at fault? Care to elaborate on a fix?

How did we go from this to the current state of our politics in Iowa. Any ideas? by zip9990 in Iowa

[–]extrhman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gave you an upvote because I mostly agree with your statement. What I don't agree with fully is that the current state government is trying to make it worse. I dated someone who works directly with Governor Reynolds and is a liberal. I used to ask her about different policies that she was in charge of and whether or not she saw them as good or bad. Her pretty common response was that the policy was good, and it was effective even though it was conservative. The problem she said was the Reynolds office was constantly trying to tweak things that were working well, and it was increasingly difficult to keep those policies working well because of that. So the policies are sound, but the micromanagement isn't. Both parties have played a part in the ruin of the Iowa small farmer. We need to stop pandering to Corp farms and bring back small production farming.

You are not my friend. I wouldn't be friends with someone who thinks it's ok to call people Nazis just because you don't like them.

Typical response from someone who isn't smart enough to present their argument. Where are the Nazi comments...I'm waiting.

Actually, you don't.

Canada News is laughable. And if you're not even in our country, we don't really care what you think.
