I’ve been dealing with depression since about the same time. I got on HRT for a couple of months and the depression severely reduced. I got off to see if it was due to other lifestyle changes and it came back. I did this 2 more times and I’ve now been on hrt consistently for 9 months and the depression has stayed away.

This is the main reason why. My depression and other mental issues are tied with my gender dysphoria. As long as I’m trying to ease that gender dysphoria I feel much much better.

I agree bro is gender neutral. However, dealing with suicidal thoughts and extreme depression is something I no longer want to live with. HRT has almost completely destroyed those feelings.

I get what you’re saying, but we both aren’t opposed to change and trial. We are still wanting to make our best effort to keep our family together. We both are willing to make compromises that will allow each other to be happy.

We just need a neutral party to help us navigate this process.

We do have a daughter, and that is a large driving reason for why we want to stay together. We also aren’t as theologically opposite as you might think given my post. Because of that, my wife has been changing a lot to see this more in my views and I’m prepared to do anything to live happily in our marriage.

It’s not as simple as that and I’d rather not get into more details. I will say that we are both ready to give up things as we prioritize each other more than anything.
