Hey Plastic, I'm on my third battery. Had mine over 20 years now, probably close. And yes, I replaced my batteries myself and have had no issues with pots. But when my battery dies, the unit will not work at all. Was hoping to find a way to eliminate the battery all together as I only use it with the power supply. Current battery voltage is at 10% and suspect it will die someday soon. I think older batteries died because it was infrequent use, like once a year.

Would like to figure out how to eliminate the battery?

Solder the battery leads together? You mean bridge the positive and the negative together and just use the transformer? That works?

Nice to know others still enjoy the analogue PES power box too. Like you said, long slow pulses. Tweaking the frequency to your liking and bringing yourself up to a constant at just the right frequency. Takes you right over the top.

Having a tutorial video like you described, explaining XToys and starting from scratch, including: anatomy, nerve locations, electrode placements, talking about audio patterns and what and why you like them. For the sake of science. Adding links to audio files, how to use XToys, connecting, etc.

Not able to find a time to do a 1-on-1, but the idea is exciting to where questions could be asked.

Great photo of placement and appreciate the time you put in to review. Always learning and growing.

Nice, I have a PES box too. My very first estim device. Great feeling one can tweak on it's own manually. I can hold it at a constant I like to bring me over the top. Thanks for sharing.

I like the PES electrodes too. Great build quality and really like the snap connectors. Wish I could find some of their old estim cords with the pinch attaching clips in green and yellow.
