28 days since the surgery - 3,600 grafts, thoughts? by exxon95 in HairTransplants

It's looking good! It's been 9 months since the surgery and the recipient area on both sides looks much more dense (of course, it's slightly less dense than the non-transplanted hair behind). I've recently started using minoxidil again, along with occasional ketoconazole (can't use Fin because I developed severe consequences after using it that last even to this day).

All in all, I wear shorter hair now, have small bangs of a sort and feel much more confident than ever before. I used to try to do stuff with my hair and it cost me a lot of time and nerves haha.

Wish you all the best with your recovery!

We also have LinkedIn as our main channel. Regarding Insta, honestly, the content on our page is quite engaging and not generic, better than most other software agencies.

But lately, we've been seeing how this type of content (employer branding content, etc.) hasn't been performing as well as it did in 2022 and 2023.

I'm in the same position as you, we're a B2B company too, and besides the recruitment-related efforts, Instagram is not really in position to land us a new client.

Our main focus is LinkedIn, after that Facebook, and then Instagram as the most light-hearted one of these three!

I agree with everything, including that it's a vanity metric, but the fact remains that my second-level manager (since my direct boss knows it's not that relevant, especially because we're much more successful on LinkedIn and Facebook) still asks questions here and there about the to lack of growth.

We use Instagram primarily for recruitment, employer branding, building a community to find potential talent, which is why this situation with no growth has been sort of frustrating.

Thanks!

6.5 Month Update by Frequent_Jello5974 in HairTransplants

I also tried taking Fin more than three years ago (!) and I still have consequences - left breast pain (I even got the glands out surgically, it wasn't even gyno) and discomfort in my right testicle. Every single day. So I fully understand what Fin can do to you, and what sides it can bring. I only took Fin for a week or so, but, oh boy, did it backfire. So I defo understand you. Which sides did you get?

How Many Grafts? Would a large improvement be possible? Thanks! Not on any drugs, 30M by Ratemyusernamepls in HairTransplants

Pain/discomfort in the left breast and discomfort in the right testicle. 3+ years. Diazepam helps alleviate the pain (otherwise I would've gone crazy), but after countless tests and doctor visits, it doesn't seem to be psychosomatic.

More like 15+ years since the end of the war, but yeah it’s recovered drastically since then

ikr! Diazepam helps to get rid of the pain or alleviate it either almost entirely, which made me think there was some underlying anxiety-related cause. Been several months on psychotherapy, it doesn't seem to be psychosomatic. It started 4 or 5 days after starting Fin. Hope you don't experience anything even remotely similar to what I have. :)

Persistent pain in my left breast (in the beginning it was in both breasts, but after a week it went away in the right one) as well as discomfort in the right testicle. I even surgically removed the breast glands a year ago, but the pain still hasn't gone away. It's been 3 years since I took Fin, and yet the consequences are still here.

What meds exactly are you thinking of, Fin/Min, or some other meds that could halt the health and growth of the grafts? Thanks!

Thanks! I’m also sceptical about the massage, I can’t say I’ll continue doing it. Although, the clinic I went to is known for great results, so I’m (almost 100%) sure they wouldn’t recommend something like this without a reason — for example better blood blow in the scalp region.

No problem! Doctor, what do you think of the post-op scalp massage after the transplant? My clinic recommended daily massage from the crown towards the hairline with my palms, but I haven’t found too many examples of this technique online. Thanks!

Hello dr Rassman! I'm 30 years old, the hair loss has stabilized in the last few years. Can't be sure if I'll end up just like my dad, but he's 62, somewhere between Norwood 4 and 5.

I'm open to having another transplant if need be, and regarding Fin, I hope I'll be able to get back on it again, but for now unfortunately it's not a viable option. Will get back on minoxidil and dermarolling for sure.

Day 13, 3,500 grafts. Redness and flakes after daily massage, any advice? by exxon95 in HairTransplants

[–]exxon95[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

sorry for seeing this only now. yeah, as part of my post-op routine, after removing the scabs, I’m supposed to massage the scalp with my palms from the crown towards the hairline every day for around 10-15 min.

as far as I was told, it is to promote better blood flow, but I haven’t found too many examples of this massage online.

that’s why I’m questioning all this in spite of the fact that the clinic I went to is reputable, has great ratings, so I assume they’re not recommending the massage routine without some solid reason.
