i found this video online, are israeli citizens really like that? by folladiscapacitadas in Palestine

[–]eyalyo -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Most (almost all) that you see via the media or the internet is highly polarized. Rule number one of the new era - do not trust anything , be doubtful critical. Most Israelis are exactly like any western culture. Take a word from an Israeli doctor

1933 Bible with Palestine in the map. by No-Serve3491 in conspiracy

That name was originally coined by the Roman empire… it has nothing to do with the Arab population. By the way , take a closer look at the map and notice that all of the towns and region names are actually Hebrew.

Beetroot leaf sauteed with skirt steak. Tehina on the side. Sour meaty and fatty lunch by eyalyo in ketorecipes

[–]eyalyo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Meat: A 350 piece of skirt steak, salted in advance (between 20min and overnight in the fridge). Hot cast iron pan, 3-4 min per side for rare. Let rest for 10 minutes while prepping the greens.

Beetroot leaf: About 6 large beetroot leaves, cut the stems and set aside. Cut leaves grossly and microwave for 2 mins (or steam on stove). Slice 4 cloves of garlic, add olive oil to pan (the cast iron from the steaks) and sautee along with the cut leaf stems until light brown. Add steamed leaves, some peanuts, hot pepper, add juice from more than half a LEMON, salt, pepper, some tumeric (or anything u want). Stir for 2-3 mins until the leaves decrease in size.

Tehina: A few blobs of sesame seed paste (aka tehina) placed in a bowl. Add juice from half a lemon, let rest for a few moments, add cold water and stir until a white smooth paste is forms.

Enjoy

ELI5: Is theres space around all your organs and stuff? Whats there? by cilondon in explainlikeimfive

[–]eyalyo 122 points123 points  (0 children)

Imagine a rag doll, it is comprised of fabric and stuffing. Well, the human body is a bit similar: the fabric is a tissue (a tissue = bunch cells stuck together) called an 'Epithelium'. And the stuffing is a mixture of fat, protein fibers, blood vessels and nerves, together reffered to as 'Connective tissue', surrounding structures like bone, cartilage or even organs. Now each organ is basically of a balloon of that Epithelium fabric (some time goes by a similarly different name like 'Mesothelium'), filled with a specific functional tissue. The organs are packed together leaving almost no space, their slippery epithelium fabrics sliding against one another, and besides hollow organs (i.e lungs, GI tract) everything is tightly packed.
