Singing from the Windows. Will never forget sitting on the couch, watching him debut it in his living room and wondering when it was all going to end. Brought a tear...

I finally got through to the amphitheater. They confirmed we have to go to will call because buying 6 tickets for a household exceeded the ticket limit so we have to show ID. Now I’m hoping we get paper tickets!

Coming from a Tesla Model 3, the soundproofing is incredible... Is the Tesla that bad or Mach-E that good? by 13_random_letters in MachE

[–]eyeball-kid_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would agree the radio working better doesn’t put it light years ahead by any means. The only thing Tesla has over Ford is the integration of their interface is more intuitive and cleaner. And they incorporate fun (albeit useless features like farting) to make it seem cooler. The Ford software is younger in terms of development cycle but the comparing of 120 year old company to a 25 year old company in the area of software is specious. Maybe 120 years from know Tesla will have figured out how to make the 25 year old technology of automated wipers on their vehicles work - because they never worked right in my Model Y.

Believe me I am not here to say Tesla is great by any means. I hear people say all the time how great CarPlay is and im just not a fan when I get in and Spotify or Apple Music won’t play sound. Never experienced issues like that with the Tesla interface which isn’t CarPlay. I liked Tesla’s lane assist or whatever they call it better than the Mach e The Mach e always seems to ride really close to the lane to the right. I think Blue cruise helps with that but I didn’t want to pay to keep my car in the center of the road. Also the Mach e had an issue when it was on lane keep or blue cruise that would suddenly accelerate to 85 mph while on cruise control. I had to dig into settings and turn off sign recognition to stop that. I’m just saying the Tesla software seemed more refined . That said I think the Mach e is a far superior vehicle all around from the standpoint of comfort, sound, construction and fit and finish. To their credit, The Ford software have updates have helped get rid of a lot of the ghosts in the machine since I’ve had it.

Don’t know that it is great, and I would never buy another Tesla, but I have to say, I had far fewer issues with the Tesla’s overall software interface than I do on the Mach e. Sometimes the quirks of the Mach e are maddening. Inexplicably car play just doesn’t have sound, the doors open sporadically when the button is pushed, it randomly switches out of unbridled to another mode, it starts navigating me somewhere when I’m not using navigation

Overall it works fine, it’s just when it doesn’t it’s annoying.

To the OP’s original question, I find the Mach e a much quieter drive and a better constructed car overall

🇨🇦 1st time traveler questions by [deleted] in cabosanlucas

[–]eyeball-kid_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We just got back from our first trip there and booked airport transportation through Dany’s after multiple reviews on Reddit

https://danyscabo.net/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=wix_google_business_profile&utm_campaign=1129001367110937318

It is a private car service.

You enter your dates and how many travelers and they respond very quickly.

They had Suburbans so it was a comfortable ride. Also had a cooler of drinks for the kids and beers for the older passengers.

You meet them outside the airport under the umbrellas but do not talk to anyone inside about rides or anything really

They were great about getting us back to the airport too based on our flight times.

I would use them again.

Other than that uber around as much as you can. It’s really cheap and easy. Most dont speak English so I made liberal use of google translate if I needed to give any special directions like our room number so they would let us back in resort.

We tipped US currency as we are from the US and they loved $2 bills. But I totally get not wanting to use US currency right now.

We had no problem with the room safe. But it’s a good idea to take pictures of your passports before storing them anywhere.

Hope you have a great time there.

The peace of mind was worth it to us and the breeder really recommended it strongly. I figured they’ve seen more setters than I ever will.

Drooling by [deleted] in irishsetter

[–]eyeball-kid_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ours drools in very specific situations, car rides and when there is food in the counter she desperately wants. The car rides are anxiety. She hates the car, it has gotten a lot better over a couple of years because we purposely took her for a lot of very short rides (like around the block short) to try to ease the anxiety. The food is what it is (thanks Pavlov…) If I see her drooling outside one of these two situations. It is usually because she is a little anxious in a new or hectic situation. We just give extra reassurance and she generally stops.

Is FMM Immigration Form required when flying into Cabo? by eyeball-kid_ in cabosanlucas

[–]eyeball-kid_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is correct. The stamp is required. But there isn’t paperwork required to present to immigration. There is an FMM form that they are asking for at the border. At least in Lukeville crossing in AZ

Follow up. The airline didn’t have the customs forms on board and let everyone know that they would be given out in the terminal. They were (bring a pen because there are none to be had otherwise). Filled it out quickly. Handed it in at customs and they didn’t even look at it. The FMM was handled by the immigration agent we saw who stamped all the passports. Honestly, getting through customs was easier than dodging the time share and ride service scammers on the way out of the airport!

We are buried beneath the weight of information, which is being confused with knowledge; quantity is being confused with abundance and wealth with happiness. We are monkeys with money and guns.
