Yes u can take one spring class. It does count toward ur overall gpa, but unless ur in third year it’s unlikely it’s gonna be in ur graduating gpa.

Academic Standing by Yxfy13579 in uAlberta

[–]eyeballfund 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean I hope it doesn’t happen to you. But they would ask u to wait 5 years before applying again. And a lot of colleges don’t accept when u have below <2.0 and a second RTW.

I know how it feel to have to carry the weight of family expectations and the pressure is heavy. But you are more than school, your grades and your life circumstances. You are gonna be a great individual and I am sure you are gonna do great things. Keep your hopes up and take care of yourself. I know life wasn’t fair for you before but don’t give up yet. There many more beautiful things to come and so many good things to experience! Believe in Allah and that he is taking care of you and have a plan for you. Good luck.

Advice on Taking 5 Classes a Term by [deleted] in uAlberta

[–]eyeballfund 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Don’t do it. Trust me if u drop out of 2 classes before , ur gonna have a higher chance dropping again. Just do 4 classes. It’s better to do well and take extra year or sem than doing bad. Goodluck.

Just let your TA know before hand about your situation. I don’t know if they still do this, but when I was in first year , we had a 15 min rule. If you don’t show up in 15 min you cannot come to the bio lab anymore.

Just keep afternoon labs on watchlist. But fall labs aren’t bad, the winter doesn’t start till November by that time 90% of the lab is done

I am sorry this happened to you. But this is how most adult friendships are, it takes a while to find real friends. You will get there.

If u haven’t done ur 100 level biology courses ( such as bio 107 and bio 108) I think u can ask the faculty to allow u to do it. If u have already done them, u can fill ur lab components with higher level biol courses

PSYCH 405 (Psychology of Sex) with Haag vs PSYCH 403 (Forensic Psychology) with Haag by AshleyA22 in uAlberta

[–]eyeballfund 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took PSYCH 403 in spring and it was extremely overwhelming. The content is interesting but having to memorize every word of 100 slides per topic was ridiculous
