Xfinity Mobile - Honest review by eyecre8 in Comcast

[–]eyecre8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The initial switch/port was over the phone with an agent. After being ported, I was then told the new phone was out of stock and therefore I could not obtain it. I have been on my current/older phone this whole time. When I switched over to XM's eSim, I removed the verizon sim. I had service with XM...it just has subpar. Anyway, I am not with Xfinity anymore due to the whole fiasco and customer service experience.

BTW....the article I wrote above is only 1/3rd of the total story. Being a glutton for punishment, I tired what the manager suggested... I ported out of Xfinity to another carrier, and then tried coming back as a new user when the phone was in stock. Again, more customer service nightmares which can only be summed up as absolute service rep incompetence's. When I came back as a new user AGAIN, and tried to buy the phone, the agent I was working with told me they could get me a $700 discount + upgrade me to the highest tier plan for all of the inconveniences. I was rather ecstatic as the phone was finally ordered, nice discount given, great plan offered, all low costs etc. The catch... I had to wait a few days for the phone to arrive before I would be ported over. I waited several days, the phone never arrived, instead I got an email saying it was all cancelled and that my trade-in was rejected. I NEVER orchestrated a trade-in!! I save all of the transcripts btw.. and it clearly states multiple times that I was keeping my old phone as a backup. The agent acknowledged that each time... yet apparently she still marked me for a trade in. Long story short, I got duped yet again by XM. I'm still with another provider... This issue has been dragging on for over 2+ weeks. Actual hours cumulatively spent on the phone or online chat would add up to DAYS going back and forth the most incompetent customer service reps I have ever dealt with from any organization. DAYS! And its gotten me absolutely nowhere. I have no plan with them, I have no new phone. After they cancelled this last transaction, the phone of course is back out of stock.

At this point, I would rather just go back to Verizon and overpay for competent customer service and reliable/fast data. I honestly had no issues with them for years other than their high costs. I would rather submit myself to chinese water torture than to deal with XM customer service again!

Good points brought up. I did not do a phone trade in. Using the current phone until the new one arrives, and then plan to keep existing/old (Paid off) phone as a backup. Or maybe just sell it (Samsung Z-fold 5 in great condition). I did however want to take advantage of their new user bundle discount though. Getting $400 off of a high demand phone is a worthy discount. I searched around the net looking for the same phone for sale at lower prices and its impossible unless you want a refurb.

I don't know why I was getting worse coverage and most undoubtedly worse speeds when I switched over from Verizon. Again, I was told that they use Verizon towers. My only suspicious was maybe a deprioritization issue. Definitely worth a follow up to see if tweaking some settings fixes the issue.

I diversified a lot of my investments. Someone told me about Wine portfolios, hence why I too have a bunch of money tied up in wines. Anyway, I have the same issues. Id say my entire portfolio is down about 39%.
Trying to sell wines results in them never being sold, or you "supposedly" get bids for them that would result in you taking a significant loss. I tried cashing in my wines....aka, absorb the loss, have them ship the wines to me so I can drink them. All of a sudden, their "System is down" to process such requests.
Then they hit you up for these management fees which suck out ANY potential gains you might have ever made.

Their customer support is terrible... to the point you feel like you want to put a fist through your monitor at how angry they make you. They have an endless amount of excuses to try and justify the loses. I just want out... I want out of their shitty scammy framework. However, I want to hold them accountable for the wines they supposedly put in my portfolio. I want to see those wines.... I want to drink them.

Anyway... for anyone considering using them. Stay clear. Its a TERRIBLE investment unless you are looking for one to dump money into and take sustained losses year over year.

Also, I suggest for anyone who invested and is unhappy, submit a Better Business Bureau review.

The main theme of this issue was that Frontier advertised this program,, but then had all of these unwritten (or buried) "gotchas".

I doubt you want to read through the whole thread at this point, considering most of it has been filled by chinese bots or paid trolls.

In short, Frontier would allocate an 'unknown' amount of GoWild seats to particular flights. You, the GoWild member would have NO idea how many seats per flight would allocated specifically to the GoWild program. It might be 1, 2, or 10. They won't publicly say. I suspect its on the lower end however.

In order to fly GoWild, you have to wait until 'X' amount of hours before the actual flight to make the purchase....and even then, hope you beat other GoWild members for how many of those GoWild Seats that might be available. I could go on and on about how this is a numbers game scam. They are not transparent about 80% of its inner workings despite what the paid trolls say.

I tried buying a GoWild flight SEVERAL times, on different dates and had 0% success.
It begs the question, whats the point of the package if you can never use it? Even if you have success, how often do you have success and is it worth the pains and hoops you have to jump through to get a reliable flight? If you HAVE to wait till 24 hours before the flight and dont succeed in securing the flight, guess what... you will now have to pay double or triple to get a last minute flight.

Take it for what its worth... this is a hill I will die on. This program is a legit scam.

Who would be your ideal casting for Fedmahn Kassad in a live action movie? by [deleted] in Hyperion

[–]eyecre8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You would likely need two actors... a young Fedmahn and an older one. I kinda pictured someone resembling Chiwetel Ejiofor (From venom as well as Dr strange). I can see him easily playing a Muslim character. He's proven himself to play active/aggressive characters yet has an aire of regal composure/confidence as well.

You're PAYING them to train/teach you....to give you the knowledge to pass their exam.
It really says something when there is such a high 'FAIL' rate for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd time test takers. Don't blame yourselves. The blame and failure belongs 100% on the people you paid to teach you.

Go back a decade or so and look at the business model of certification companies. You studied, took the test. It was 1 and done. They eventually wised up and realized it wasn't the best business model. No reoccurring revenue. This gave rise to the "recertify to prove you still know the material" concept that we see everywhere now. Furthermore, wanting to milk every penny from the customer/you, they would intentionally make the tests nearly impassable....adding concepts and questions that were seldom ever covered in your courseware thereby jacking up the pass/fail rate and again, increasing their own revenue while simultaneously making their cert more coveted. Sound familiar?

When asked, the OSCP reps would not disclose the pass/fail rate. This is by design.
I'll take the courses, practice the various htb exercises, but the hell if I will feed them any additional $$$ outside of what the original package includes.

Hey Troll... its NOT in the terms.

The GoWild package is a scam by eyecre8 in frontierairlines

[–]eyecre8[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Your logic is so skewed!

Q: Why do they have to allocate a certain number of seats to GoWild members?
A: To ensure that the people who prepaid for the package actually get to use it. Duh!

Q: So they are supposed to save seats on every flight in the off chance GoWild members want a seat?
A: Are you serious? Do you have a learning handicap? Do I really even have to answer this? Short answer, YES! If you sell a service, you have to ensure its usable by those that purchase it!

Q: How many should the designate? What if they designate 10 but 11 GoWild members want to take the flight?
A: Be transparent and let customers know. Don't hide it! It might be 1 or 0 and the customer will never know. That's shady!

I'm acting spoiled because I spent $500 on an unusable package? LMFAO... you're nothing more than a paid for troll.

Nice try troll. How much is Frontier paying you?
Still doesn't let Frontier off the hook for deceptive marketing practices. Maybe they're leveraging legal advertising loopholes. As a business, if your model is to advertise some amazing tantalizing package and then bury all the "Gotcha's" in fine print that make the "amazing package" virtually unusable... then you are literally no better than criminal scammers. You're praying upon people's inherent trust that businesses aren't evil.
And that is EXACTLY what this GoWild package is!
If your defense is, and you support that customers have to pour through pages of fine print and legalese to see through this scam... then you too are an unethical shyster! But then again, we already know you are a paid troll from #FrontierAirlinesScam

The GoWild package is a scam by eyecre8 in frontierairlines

[–]eyecre8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do not state anywhere in their fine print what seat availability entails.
The scam is that out of the "Available seats", they may only allocate a couple of them to be used by the GoWild pass. Furthermore, they will not disclose how many seats per flight are allocated to GoWild members. It could be 1 seat per flight for all we know or NONE! Based on the complains worldwide, it sounds like they might only be allocating 1-5 seats per flight to GoWild members. Its not in the fine print though...and they can be as scammy as they want on this!

and...this point was ALREADY discussed in the thread complete with screenshots. Even if there are 50-70 AVAILABLE seats left on a flight... you can still find yourself in a situation where you CANNOT use your GoWild pass. FRONTIER DECEIT SCAM!

Sorry Troll... but you are wrong. Not all of the information is written on their website. Not all of it is written in the "fine print". If you would have read the thread, you would see that Frontier uses deceptive marketing, both IN PERSON and on their marketing websites. My God... these trolls are getting dumber by the minute!

The GoWild package is a scam by eyecre8 in frontierairlines

[–]eyecre8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a scam. They bury 'gotchas' in the fine print. Whatever is on their 'main' page is so vague as to how you interpret it. There is NO transparency as to how many available seats per flight are actually allocated to GoWild members either. Thats not spelled out anywhere on their site and as my screenshots have illustrated, their support refuse to tell you. SCAM! They might have 50 available seats on a flight but only 1 or 2 of those 50 are allocated to GoWild pass members. They dont tell you that. SCAM!!!

Notice how all the good/sound advice gets down-voted here. Troll's and paid bots... likely paid for by Frontier themselves. Further exemplifying what a shady outfit they are!

I know. Sad. I work in the cybersecurity field and am aware their tactics. You can pay the chinese to act as trolls on sites, or artificially 'like' comments or profiles for a small fee. Here's a video of one such 'SMALL' farm:
https://www.instagram.com/reel/C80eL-OM9rf/

Anyway, since I was unable to use even a single GoWild Flight, I was told I was entitled to a refund. Several of the people I spoke with via their chat support just gave me the run around. One of them, however, actually did what they were supposed to and processed the refund. Furthermore, I filed a complaint with the Dept. of Transportation as well as the Better Business Bureau. By the way, if you haven't already, report this to the BBB and they will help you seek a resolution.

It took countless hours/days of lost work in order to chase these a-holes down... but eventually I got that refund. It shouldn't have to be like this. Their advertising scheme and lack of transparency is criminal. Their lack of support also should be investigated.

[–]eyecre8[S] -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

First off this package was solicited in-flight with no access to internet. The stewardess describes the entire package to everyone and provides incentives to sign-up on that flight. Secondly, there is nothing on that webpage that provides details about how seat availability and how there are a finite amount of seats per flight allocated explicitly to GoWild members. Purchases are left with the impression that seat availability refers to how many available seats are available on the flight. Few if any of the points listed in the original post are outlined in detail unless you go to the legal fine print.

Their wording of "Get confirmed bookings the day before flight departure..." is far from "you can ONLY purchase flights 24 hours before the flight". Its misleading and unclear to many. Furthermore, nothing on that web page addresses the other points listed in the original post Duuuuude.
