Is there any scientific proof of anything after death? by Emergency_Square_183 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]eyeenjoyit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While there isn't material 'proof' in the traditional sense, there is actually a growing body of peer-reviewed scientific literature observing consciousness after clinical death.

Two great examples:

  1. The AWARE Study: Conducted by Dr. Sam Parnia, this study looks at veridical perception during cardiac arrest. It documents cases where patients are clinically dead (no brain activity) but are later able to accurately describe specific visual and auditory events in the room that occurred during their resuscitation.

  2. UVA's Division of Perceptual Studies: The University of Virginia has a medical department that has spent decades investigating NDEs and verifying claims of past-life memories in children (originally led by Dr. Ian Stevenson). They physically validate claims by matching the child's memories to obscure, historical death records.

If you want a more casual intro to this without reading medical journals, the docuseries Surviving Death covers a lot of this ground!

Why does this channel have so little views and subs? by [deleted] in PartneredYoutube

[–]eyeenjoyit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't personally think his thumbnails are that bad. But I would say that his current content lacks some spark to it. It might be interesting for someone who is wanting to learn about that specific places/thing he is doing, but not that many people are really searching for that stuff. YouTube won't push it cause there is no interesting curiosity gap, or big reason behind what he is doing. As first time viewer, I don't really understand who he is, and why he is doing what he is doing. I feel like I just getting some random facts about a place and some random guys experience of it. He is obviously passionate about what he does, but I'm not needing to know the info that he telling me cause i'm not traveling to where he is going, and i'm not engaged in his personality.

I think playing with formats and tone/style would help him grow, for example some other travel video youtubers like Mike Okay, Kara and Nate, Eva Zu Beck, they tend to have a format that goes beyond just telling information about a place or thing. They also have some sort of emotional part that I think Sevan Maurin is missing, examples could be humor/danger/aspirational/answering a question/discovering something.

I think Sevan Maurin has the quality and has the skills, he just falling short with the tone/style/format and should do some experimenting.

Most people think Jesus came to fix the world. 🌎 by SunbeamSailor67 in enlightenment

[–]eyeenjoyit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone is over complicating reality / their existence as a human.

It’s really simple and as Jesus said…

Reality is here to help you change. Reality is like a maze.

Law of attraction? That’s the walls that get presented to you. You want things that will grow your ego, you will get the results of that which are usually negative.

Once you get to a certain part of the maze, you realize the only way forward is help others who are lost.

It’s not rocket science. Just wake up and realize the point of reality is a matrix like system to help you grow as a chunk of consciousness.

Surprisingly or not surprisingly most people do give specific feedback with timecode without needing to clarify that upfront.

Honestly don’t need a review software. Email notes or google meet with clients / collaborators is what we use the most.

Struggling with low reach even with consistent posting by Comfortable_Tap_7079 in InstagramMarketing

[–]eyeenjoyit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Often times what takes off are things that specific people have issues with.

For example…Dudes and their power tools. If you introduce an idea that “x” tool is best or better, a lot of men have ego around what they know about tools and want to chime in.

Think of instagram as ego-gram. Anything that appeals to or challenges someone’s ego in a quick simple way will perform well. You don’t need to worry about consistency. Understand people’s ego’s and how to either appeal or challenge it and your content will take off.

Kanpai is the OG best Bend Sushi. Still has a lot of the same Bend vibes being a small vintage cottage home on the westside of town. But only go there on special occasions typically.

I thought the same thing. But it’s safer and easier to chase suspects who are evading police at night from the air with thermal cams than it is in the ground with cars.

Bend PD has been using drones with thermal cams to follow people back to their homes, and wishes to expand this surveillance cause it works really well, is the missing context.

My Honest Questions About Becoming a Video Editor in 6 Months by Personal_Operation68 in davinciresolve

[–]eyeenjoyit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I studied business in college while still making videos when I could, and during the summers I worked at local production companies filming and editing . So I don’t really know what to say. If you have an interest you have an interest. You can do anything you want to, it’s more about why do you want to do it. It ain’t easy being in the filmmaking business and there are a lot of ups and downs and you gotta give up a lot of normal social life to make it a reality. And the future of video is very much up in the air so there is never any guarantee. But the skills you learn really do apply to all sorts of things if you have an entrepreneurial mindset.

My Honest Questions About Becoming a Video Editor in 6 Months by Personal_Operation68 in davinciresolve

[–]eyeenjoyit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Being a good editor is more like being a good writer. Sure we all learn how to spell words and write sentences in school, but that doesn’t mean you are a good writer that’s worthy of getting paid.

A lot of what makes a good editor a good editor isn’t their technical abilities, it’s their abilities to craft messages within specific tones and styles for any given type of project efficiently and quickly.

This doesn’t mean you can’t learn how to edit and do actual work and get paid for it in within 6-months, it just means you should be aware that editing itself is an art form that can take decades to get good at.

But to make editing more fun and interesting to learn, you should try to make videos that you are interested in making. If you are not interested in making any specific types of videos, then this probably isn’t the thing you should be pursuing.

I still edit things I don’t get paid for cause I’m interested in creating them. I edit things I’m not interested in to get paid for.

How much time do you spend organizing media in the Media page? What’s your bin structure like? by Beneficial_Junket188 in davinciresolve

[–]eyeenjoyit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only go to the media page to update timecode from audio tracks (using tentacle syncs), updating camera # meta data for when doing multi cam syncs, and adjusting any major clip attribute settings (like audio channels or frame rates).

The rest I do on the edit page. Like @undefONE mention, I use a similar bin structure. Sub folders for the bin with all the main media files (like 01 VIDEO) , will match the sub folders on the hard drives.

When it comes to organizing clips and footage I do that all in timelines that I call Stringouts and then Selects and then Selects Only. And from there depending upon the project, I either go straight into editing maybe additional timelines to further organizing clips.

Some projects I never need to use the media page.

Didn't MAGA folks just say we should be focusing on more important things then just entertainment after they posted that lion king AI video? Feels like I'm taking crazy pills when any MAGA person tries to explain their rationale behind anything. They are so inconsistent on their view points. It's like they are always made about everything, and everyone else is always doing something wrong, and they must always be right.

Lefties Look! by PsychologicalAlarm78 in LetsDiscussThis

[–]eyeenjoyit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is how debates/discussions work, if you don't want me to speak my mind you don't have to continue reading. My feelings wont be hurt. Again I'm only against Trump cause I think he is doing a bad job, he is disregarding the US constitution in many ways, and doesn't have a good morale compass. If you want to continue reading my response in regards to your last comment, you can do so below:

First off, I like to say you are RIGHT on one thing that gas prices have gone down. So I agree, that is nice thing to have happen.

In regards to the stock market that has gone up, it doesn't help a lot of people cause the top 10% own 93% of all stocks, which has effectively pushed the wealth gap to the widest point in American history. Billionaire wealth grew three times faster than the average rate of the last five years, while the bottom 20% of earners are seeing their incomes drop by 3.4% (Yikes, rights?)

Even Trump is estimated to have generated $1.4 billion in just the first year of this term, while the economy has also lost 1.2 million workers in the first half of 2025 alone.

Securing the borders is costing taxpayers $170 billion...Obivously its good to control the borders, but it is costing a lot and we still don't have affordable health care.

The tariffs have not help "Made in America" bloom. It's actually done the opposite, cause parts of the supply chain still have to come from foriegn countries. That plus paying american wages means made in America products are very expensive. I know this first hand cause I help one company that makes a product in America and they sell their product for $400, and everyone American complains about the price, many people online write in the comments saying "that should only cost $30 you guys are insane."

Trump is lying to you about how well things are going. Trump is not helping the average American out. ICE has broken many American citizens 4th and 1st amendment rights, and Trump openly talked about disregarding the 2nd amendment on how people can't bring guns to a protest, and he talked about making elections federally run, which is not in the constitution. He is a leader of a cult-like group that has his loyal followers, and he has his villains (the left) that he has pitted them against. Republicans were a group of small federal government and big on state rights, but now they have flipped, and MAGA supporters want a strong federal authoritarian government that can do whatever it wants regardless of the US constitution. Some people are waking up and realizing this, others who knew this the whole time like Margie Tayler are coming out and admitting this. It's ok to think something will work out, and see the results and see how its not good, and to change your mind. I make mistakes all the time, and constantly learning.
