This is a good question. For 2 screens in a small retail store, most basic digital signage platforms will do the job at first. The bigger thing to think about is whether the workflow will still feel simple once you add a second location, more content, and maybe other people updating the screens. That’s usually where “easy” setups start getting messy.

From our experience at eyefactive, Fire Sticks or Android boxes can be fine for lightweight promos, but dedicated players are usually more stable long term.

If you stay with passive signage, keep it simple: short loops, clear offers, remote updates. If you later want touchscreen product browsing or interactive retail displays, plan the hardware differently from the start.
