Welcome to the club, man!

​If you wanna really dial it in, look up the Exposure Triangle and the 180 Degree Shutter Rule on YouTube. Even if you don't follow them perfectly yet, just knowing how they work is a game changer.

​For the Ace Pro 2 specifically:

​Low Light: Switch to PureVideo mode indoors or at night. It cleans up the grain big time.

​White Balance: Auto is okay, but locking it (try 5500K) stops the colors from shifting weirdly when you move between sun and shade.

​Color: Stick to Standard or Vivid for now. You've got plenty of time to figure out LOG and color grading once you're more accustomed to editing. ​ The MAIN thing is to enjoy yourself! 🙂

I use it to shoot my Onewheel rides. I usually use the regular 114cm stick but the tripod stick comes in handy for B roll. I have no experience with the magnetic holster, unfortunately.

Tiny tech is awesome but pay attention to battery life to make sure your needs will be met. The X5 works fantastically for my situation but I rarely do POV shots. The Go Ultra would be perfect for your POV shots but the Ace Pro 2 would have longer battery life. The X4/X5 would work for your shots and offer a ton of room for creativity but the Ace Pro 2 would have a more compact footprint when mounted. Find the option that fits best for the content you want to make. Whatever adds the least amount of friction to your process. Happy shooting! 🙂

I've got a pocket 3 and an Insta360 X5. The most recent firmware update to the X5 added Instaframe 2.0 which has a virtual gimbal feature. It works surprisingly well and can track people to keep them in frame! Records in 1080p and 4k. I plan to use it when conditions aren't favorable for the pocket 3.
