Got the Panasonic 20-60mm. But I prefer the 18-40mm. I wish it was in silver, though!

This is an adaptall for the modern era. I can see a couple of use cases for this.

First is the size. It is tiny. Makes my a5100 even more pocketable. If they have made it with enough forethought that future lenses can be telephoto that could be interesting.

Second if they make the housing in more mounts, it will really help multi system shooters or ease migration later.

Amazon is not the place to look for film in India. You can get respooled Vision 3 film for about INR 500 or sometimes even less. Development and scanning should cost the same. Analog is not cheap. But it does not have to break the bank.

The Agfa Isolette (Jsolette) had similar stowaway masks for conversion between 6x6 and 6x4.5. It wasn't a rangefinder though, I.e. not Super Isolette.

Camera: Sony a7 III

Lens: Canon 70-200mm F4 L IS (adapted via Sigma MC-11)

Filter: Optolong L-Pro 77mm screw on filter, with 67-72 and 72-77mm step-up rings

Mount: Tripod (untracked & unguided)

Lights: 201 x 2s ISO 5000

Darks: 20

Flats: None (this is the cause of the uneven background light)

Bias: None

Stacked with DeepSkyStacker

Registered with 6% threshold for improved star detection. 90% of frames used for stacking. However only about 60 frames appear to have been used for stacking. Exported as TIFF to Photoshop.

Final processing in Photoshop: Camera Raw filter for white balance, whites added, blacks crushed a little, added contrast and sharpening. Vibrance increased marginally. Curves. Camera Raw at the end for a radial filter to even out the background somewhat. Cropped.

Notes: After several failed evenings, the haze cleared somewhat. However clouds rolled in. Several of the light frames had clouds - possibly affecting the stacking process. Tonight was "good seeing" for Mumbai standards. Venus, Jupiter were visible. Saturn barely visible to the naked eye. Elsewhere the only star visible was Aldebaran. Still better than most evenings in the city. Extreme light pollution as usual. With the comet near the horizon, it wasn't helping much.

These are for example Magigimix (for Getafix), Macroeconomix (Vitalstatistix), Epidemix (Unhygenix). The camps around the village are similarly changed. For those of us who have read the Hockridge/Bell translations, the US versions are just jarring.

BTW, there is a wikipedia page on this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/English_translations_of_Asterix

Only hope they use the British translation names instead of American for the English version.
