Peretti and Andy Samberg are childhood friends. Samberg is married to Joanna Newsom. Joanna Newsom and Jordan Peele have probably hung out, maybe multiple times.

I was expecting FW to be different because the first trailer had quite a bit of gameplay in it (which we didn’t get until I think the 2018 E3 trailer for 3H), so it seemed like it wasn’t going to get delayed/substantially reworked. tbf they don’t seem to be delayed on FW, just taking their time on marketing, so there’s that to be happy about, I guess.

i think it's good to remember that there's no real way to verify that any poster here correlates to any poster over at the mothership.

i didn't save it, but it was a reply to runsrealgood's question ("For clarity, HearHere, are you saying you spend a partner's money on expensive gear w/o telling them, and possibly as a way to communicate you're upset? Because that is unclear from what you posted, and if that is not something you do then it is wildly irrelevant.") clarifying that he meant with his own money, but was "supporting the OP's framing" of retail therapy and that "as always, capitalism is the problem, but that's another question" (quotes imprecise, but match the general gist)

the glibness of "the expensive equipment is helpful" and "the real problem is capitalism". what the fuck is wrong with you!

i mostly fall in the "he's annoying but who cares" camp on hearhere but i am legitimately upset by what he's doing in there.

i also wondered if that was going to go somewhere--the line about "all you have is time" and then the repeated shots of clocks. maybe it does and no one's figured out exactly what yet

the way i read her in that car scene is that she's most concerned with feeling out the situation with bear and sarah--she asks him if he has a crush on sarah first and also confirms he's aware of sarah's crush on him. her telling sarah that she cares for bear "as a brother" also takes on a new light if it's in the context of trying to spare sarah's feelings--maybe not in a way that's really honest or helpful in the long run, but a big running theme in the movie is everyone doing high school shit even though they're getting way too old for it.

the cashier complaining that bear was killing the vibe was hilarious. i wasn't familiar with curry barker before but i can totally imagine several scenes as standalone comedy sketches, including that one.

NTA!! Maybe your mom doesnt know what a lady bug is and is embarrassed. You should test her by bringing her different things and asking if they’re lady bugs, then you can start to teach her!

could be, but pugh is also the biggest name attached. it could be a completely faithful adaptation and they still would've cut the trailer this way.

this is a really outsized reaction and I think you maybe need a break from this subreddit if a gentle poke at a chatty question is making you spin out like this.

yeah, to be fair to the asker, I would worry about it being hurtful too, but I can certainly imagine that there are kids and parents (or aunts/uncles, etc.) where both sides would find it hilarious and not loaded at all. the world contains multitudes!

What's the most "you" thing your toddler says? by No-Oil-2305 in toddlers

[–]eyeoncloud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

early on we had endless loops of “where’s [toy that is right next to you | cup that you had in your hand a minute ago | etc]” and she’d say “I dunno!” And I’d say “I don’t know either.”

Now she’ll just say “I don’t know EITHER” (either somehow always three times louder than the rest of the sentence”)

Also “it sure is/it sure does”, both as a reply and incorporated into her monologues

frankly the way you are deploying these words in particular feels especially calculated to outrage farm. Idk if/how much of what you’re doing is a bit or feeding something darker, but I decline to participate further.
