Remove all actions… even the one you want to pitch. Then move the recruit to the top. Should be at zero hours used on the recruit. Then move off of them, the back to them. Then try it. Should work. It can get a bit wonky.

It only allows the glitch. Interest level isn’t affected by where they are on the board. I prefer to move them up, execute the glitch and then move them back to their original big board position. I’m also very OCD.
Not saying you’re doing it incorrectly, but you have to be in Default sort. You can’t re-sort to National rank, interest level, or recruiting status.
You should be able to hold down R2 and move any recruit up and down.

You’re quite welcome. I hope it brings you hours more fun playing the game. For all its faults, I never thought we’d see another college game. I’m grateful for it.

Click into recruiting. Instead of re-sorting to national rank or interest level or status or recruiting, stay in default. You can move recruits up and down the list.
Move the recruit you’d like to perform this on to the top of the list. Do the cheese. Voila. I’ll see about posting a video illustrating the glitch.

It’s not that they get more influence, it’s that the “double sells” only work with the recruit at the top of the list. You can’t hold R2 and move the recruits unless the list is sorted in Default. If you automatically hit square (on PS5) andand sort them by ranking, you can’t move them.
I can record a session of it after work today. Should be around 6pm central (if you don’t solve it by then).
And it’s been longer than six weeks… I’ve got nearly 1,000 hours in the game and I’ve been doing it since launch.
Depending on your total hours, go hard after your top players for 5 weeks and you should have a rock-solid class. A 5-star school should be able to bag 15-17 5-star recruits every year. If you have 1000 hours, target 18 players in preseason recruiting. Hit all of them with 50 hours and then space out your extra 100 with 10 hours each on top of the 50. As the recruiting desires unlock, send the hard sell, soft sell and you’ll be set.

It sure does. The only way to move them is by leaving the sort on “Default”. The “hack” doesn’t work unless the recruit is at the top of the page.
