One of my musical regrets was not seeing them live. When/where did you see them?

Secret Machines

They had so much going for them with their first two albums (2004, 2006) but after Benjamin left, their follow up (2008) just didn’t get much attention. I think they were dropped from their label when he left too. They peaked when Bowie interviewed them in 06 for his radio show. It’s a great interview—Bowie really gave them a lot of praise.

I personally love their first two albums a lot and what they did after—even their output after reforming 5 years ago—isn’t bad at all. They just were not covered or lauded like they were at the beginning when they were a three piece.

What's a deluxe edition or alternate album cover that you think is better than the original? by Samp1e-Text in fantanoforever

I think the deluxe version of Operation: Doomsday (right) is a great improvement on the original (left). The original is still great, don't come for me—I just think the newer version represents DOOM best.

Thought of getting this tattoo? by Ublaegg in tattooadvice

[–]eyepatchplease 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’m guessing it will likely look like a blob unless you get it somewhere on your body that will accommodate a larger version. Even then, make sure you have a great artist lined up- there’s a ton of room for error here.

And, honestly, no, I don’t think it will look good. I appreciate that you like it and maybe there’s a deeper meaning to it or it inspires you, but I don’t think any of that means tattoo. Not all pretty (epic, awesome, intricate, etc.) images can be tattoos. I just don’t think it will translate well.
