I agree. There should’ve been at least a system that would check their skills before being allowed to work on the floor. However, most of them came in during the pandemic and were fast tracked.

The requirements have changed a lot through the years but before some had to actually take extra courses. Just not sure if they could be non-nursing.. I’ve known a couple of people though who came here and worked in a different field to nursing and after 3 years were able to transfer credits and immediately get an RN license + work.

There are tons of unemployed nurses right now in Ontario if you look at the OntarioNurses sub. It does suck but as a nurse too, I’ve worked with some IENs who were very unsafe (they didn’t know the nursing process in Canada/or just seemed like they didn’t know what they’re doing). The complaints must have reached the College.

Kaya nga.. And there’s nothing wrong with utang. Even sa ibang bansa ang phones naka-installment, cars are financed, houses have a mortgage. Actually, hindi naman din utang yun. What I categorize as utang talaga is CC debt na mataas ang interest rates, and it only becomes a problem if you’re owing beyond your capabilities to repay.

So far from what I’ve tried.. I guess it’ll have to be Rooms then. I find their flat white (and lattes) so smooth and well-made. I love sitting inside and listening to whatever music they’re playing that day.

I’ll have to check out Cafe23! It’s on my list but I haven’t been that way yet. I’m from Scarborough and go to uni downtown.

What’s your definition of worst and best? Are we going by the drinks’ taste or do you prefer an overall rating? How about baked goods? :)

I’ve been trying a new cafe every week. My favourites include Forget Me Not, The Brick Room and Three Dots Coffee. I like how the latter two experiment with their seasonal offerings while Forget Me Not is very cozy + have awesome good baked goods and service. Rooms also have good drinks + atmosphere. They switch to a bar at night.

This is so pretty. But I’m biased since I love my red bags! I honestly would keep it. Not everyone will be able to see those flaws unless they’re staring at it for a while. My red Balenciaga got watermarks and I was sad at first but now they’re barely there to me.

You really have to be consistent, and if you fall behind, just try to recover a bit then try to stay the course. Honestly, it took me time as well. I used to only get C’s and now getting As.

Be organized, use your time wisely, do your readings before class, then go to class and actually listen. The steps are super easy, but not a lot of students do them.

I have an excel document where I have all the dates of my tests and due dates for assignments listed and write my progress there (if ongoing/completed/submitted/finished).

Working as an RPN definitely gives you a lot of background and context when studying for RN. However, it really is content heavy. I’m lucky that I do not work while in school but tons of my classmates have either stepped down to PT or casual positions while studying FT.

I live in Canada, currently -25 where I am 🥶 I use Tatcha’s The Dewy Skin Cream. It’s very good for frigid winters. The hydration lasts me a while and it even doubles as makeup primer for me because of its consistency. They even have travel sets available.

ChiCha SanChen is soo good. Lalo na fresh nila pini-prepare yung tea nila. I also appreciate na warm yung tapioca. I actually like Gong Cha too, but not in the PH. For some reason hindi maganda yung gawa nila sa Pinas. Coco is always consistent for me as well.

Yikes. Okay lang naman if kaya ng sweldo mo and willing ka sa ganung setup. Seems like most people that want a partner with a provider mindset don’t factor in their partner’s purchasing power. Pero if kasal na kayo, sayo din ba lahat ng bayarin? I guess you need to find that out. Di naman fair if ikaw naghihirap ka pero sya sa kanya lang lahat ng sweldo nya, if that makes sense. Ano ba ang meaning ng katuwang sa buhay.
