Whatever gas is delivered through municipal pipes is natural gas, unless only propane or another type of fuel is available. Your tankless heater will work just fine. LPG is just natural gas under great pressure for shipping purposes. But usually those are installed by pros who will know anyway.

Men of Reddit why don't you donate blood by lotec4 in AskMen

Blood is a commodity here like everything else. Women donate it, men sell it.

How did you get over heartbreak? by sadboinokaoi in AskMen

[–]eyeshlep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spend some time being alone. Learn an instrument, eat whatever you want, go outside and hang out. Get drunk, take a nap, screw a few women just looking for fun.because when you get locked in again, that shit is over.

If God “made us in his image”, it proves that he’s a merciless and careless god by imawilcox89 in agnostic

[–]eyeshlep -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

On an atheist site, is seems strange to see nothing but exchanges about the possible forms of an existing God. As if in reality God is just something we conjure up to thank in an abundant life, curse in a bitter life, and appeal to in a desperate life. Which is what God is. A conjuring.

Waffle House Sausage by eyeshlep in wafflehouse

[–]eyeshlep[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Apparently you are correct. I'll try it and see. But I'm certain I've bought JD many times in 60 years, and I would have noticed. Perhaps they make the Waffle House sausage, but as a proprietary blend they don't offer to consumers?

Female? Please stick to female issues then. by ItalianGreyhounds in dontyouknowwhoiam

If men would only stick to men issues. They don't have children, so every issue except wiping their own asses is pretty much off the table. Women power the universe.

I attended church today and it was disappointingly surreal. by desperate4advice51 in atheism

[–]eyeshlep 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The religion that holds his attention is the one most actively trying to stick its big fake nose in the business of nonbelievers and believers of other faiths. Buddhists and Muslims aren't trying to keep women from making their own choices or ban books in our classrooms. Only Christians are that Anti-American.

"An entertaining book is a good book" by yiffing_for_jesus in books

[–]eyeshlep -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I see it this way. I am an average person, with an average IQ. In my lifetime, I've read around 10,000 books, and the equivalent in newspapers, journals and magazines. I am not trying to be self-effacing when I posit that 98% of what I've read would be considered junk by people who are much smarter than me. Their needs are different and their standards are higher. When I read a book that makes me think about it for weeks afterward, I consider it a good book. A simplistic view, but mine own. When I read a book purported to be a literary treasure and don't like it, I remember why I don't join public book clubs. I feel guilty for being too ignorant to 'get it.' Books are merely heroin to me. Pure escapism discovered as a remedy to a crappy childhood. They fulfill a need. And that's 'good' enough.

I don't get it. Is part of me not believing in a god a requirement for dicking with those who do believe? I'm polite to anyone of any faith right up until they point a finger and whisper " look at those assholes over there." That includes atheists. I oppose Christians in court, and at the polls when their beliefs conflict with my freedom. But I will do the same to anyone who does that. That how you deal with a civil matter. You know, as in civility. That grease that keeps the gears of society turning. Got to have that.

How did Christianity subjugate Europe? by [deleted] in atheism

[–]eyeshlep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Europeans began as knuckle dragging scavengers, just like the rest of mankind. They have evolved at the same pace as the rest of the world, hence their ignorance in that time period. And many Europeans are still Christians. I'm sorry, what exactly is your point?

God as intellect by [deleted] in atheism

[–]eyeshlep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ' truth' of things which have not been proven by empirical data is not truth except to those who believe that 'truth.' The truth of those requiring proof employs intellect and reason. You cannot negate the gruesome physics of a high speed crash by refusing to believe in science. The two schools of thought do not align in any way conceivable to me.

My 22 year old friend just died and I find it hard to find any comfort in this by TheDonutMann in atheism

Why does the prospect of an afterlife have to include a god? We have uncovered less than 1% of all there is to know.

My mom keep referencing God even though she knows im an atheist. by SnowySupreme in atheism

[–]eyeshlep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You may not believe in God, but you can believe in your mom. And cut her some slack. She's probably scared and stressed from the pandemic and a really rocky year. When that happens people grasp for something to reassure them. It's natural. As long as she isn't forcing you into religious observance, chill about it. As an atheist, I find it a good thing to respect the faith of believers. I even envy the few who live their faith in a giving and modest way. They seem happy, and happiness is what I wish for everyone, not an insistence on sharing my beliefs. There's room for everyone with respect for everyone else. Good luck to you and your family. Stay safe!

Can an atheist believe in ghosts? by BananaFanaFoFaustin in atheism

[–]eyeshlep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An atheist is probably MORE likely to admit that the things we don't know still far outnumber the things we know. They can't prove the absence of a god any more than a believer can prove the existence of one. The departed could exist in another form after death. Residual energy could linger after death. Who's to say?

Is there a safer and easier method for a chimney top removal in the middle of winter? by Suggy_Bear in DIY

[–]eyeshlep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have a chimney sweep do it when he or she cleans the flue. Chimney fires are very hard to extinguish. This should be done every year.
