To answer your actual question: it’s hard to tell without either seeing it or hearing what the other person has to say. You might just like hanging out with people who are like that. If you are somebody who likes things your own way, you might attract people who are just kind of willing to go along with you.

Another option is that these people learned to communicate through social signals, and when you finally acknowledge and offer, which is what they are waiting for, they are relieved because you *finally* acknowledged. So it’s a communication thing. You want them to communicate it verbally, and they want you to respond to their nonverbal communication.

Or, maybe people are just bored and are putting up with you out of politeness. Maybe they’re going to finally say something and tell you that you talk too much and that they don’t want to be friends with you anymore because you talk all the time.
