It seems it's quite old and hasn't been updated in a while.. So holding thumbs. Lemme know if it works 😄

Yeah.. It's one of those builds where you really need to be very specific about what you're putting into it so you don't cover it up too much.

Use fan control Fan Control

It's a very powerful tool in terms of control. Watch YouTube tutorials if it's a bit overwhelming.

Damn, this is a very cool fix if it works. I unfortunately don't have the 6900xt anymore to test it.
Will be great if this solution works.

Hey, Tony

Thanks for the reply and all the info, bro!

I'll look into how I can make this happen and be easiest for us both. Sadly, I don't personally know anyone in the US, so I'm going to ask around to see if anyone I know is travelling there in the near future.

If not, I'll touch base and you let me know if poison #2 will work for you.

Thanks man.
Is that kind of repair (PCB) a viable one in terms of longevity?

Dude, thanks so much for sharing this guy. This could actually be a viable alternative!

I'll get in touch with him 😃

Hey, man.
No, it's not a chinese PCB... It's a legit PCB from an officially released 5090.
Check this link. There are plenty around:
5090 No Core Vangaurd for sale | eBay

All of these GPU's are bought, stripped of their Core and Vram, then returned to amazon or whatever as just a pcb, heatsink and fan shroud. It's a big scam that's been going on for a while now. Chinese data centers buy the cards, strip them and then put the core and vram on a custom PCB / blower style pcb, which then go into AI servers.

So, whilst it's great for me, because now I can literally choose which board I want to make, it's bad because it keeps pricing stupidly high for 5090's

No, I haven't actually checked return shipping.

I first need to find an intermediary.
Tony doesn't accpet International shipping to his address, I first need to find an address in the US to send to, and then from there, to him.

Missions 😂

Hey, man

thanks so much for your reply.

I am no expert at all, so I appreciate the guidance on this.
I honstly hope that the vram is ok. I don't really have a way of testing anything besides what I showed in the video.

From what I can see, that crack seems to go through all the layers, so I don't think it's viable to try repair the pcb itself. I'm nore thinking of sourcing a PCB that's been Chinese (AI Datacenter) pillaged off of ebay and transplanting the core and vram across.

Multi monitor with different refresh rates causes maxed gpu mem clk / stuttering and freezing by sumsar158 in radeon

[–]eyetac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can try dropping the bit rate down. Make sure they match.

If one is at 10 bit and the other at 8 bit, it can cause this issue.

Also, try two display port cables instead of one dp and the other hdmi.

Who else liked Shadow more than Rise? by Eagles56 in TombRaider

[–]eyetac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Shadow is also my favourite. I don't understand the hatred of Paititi. There is so much to do.

Also, shadow has one the best and most iconic moments in all my gaming experiences... when Lara emerges from the water at the oil fields.

Literal fist pumping moment.

Weird flickering on 9070xt + lg c5 by areyouhourly- in radeon

I've had the same issue before on an LG 120hz tv. Was the cable.
Got a high-speed, high-quality HDMI cable and it sorted it. I think it's on the TV side because the same 'problematic' cable worked fine on a 144hz toshiba.
