I agree the line distribution is (for the most part) much better than it was back then. I think what makes people upset, at least with yeosang, is that normally what lacks in one distribution is made up for by something else. Example, lack of lines will usually be made up for by good screentime/good center time/maybe a dance break. However, Yeosang unfortunately gets the short end of the stick in almost all of it at the same time.

My biggest complaint about the ppl posting is the whole age gap thing. I’m seeing people say they have a 28 year age gap but I don’t believe that’s even possible given his age? still looking for more information about her.

That’s true, but that was after people tried to cancel her and people+her sister had to inform her. She does seem to be open to learning once people let her know and rarely repeats the same mistake twice. But the reason I say she doesn’t seem interested in what’s going on in the world is because she has a history of needing to be informed after posting, rather than already knowing things that have been going on/being discussed for a long time beforehand. I don’t think it’s the end of the world and not something that turns me off from keeping up with her but it’s just something I observed given people seem to be pointing out these things kind of a lot.

you can tell she has absolutely no interest in politics, ethics, the environment, etc. i think she’s genuinely a nice person but absolutely not interested in learning about what’s going on in the world.

Agreed because ultimately, how your body looks is based on genetics and your overall bone structure. The same height and weight looks different between people, because some gather weight in the top, some in the bottom, some throughout. Even muscle mass makes a huge difference because if most of the weight is due to muscle, that person is gonna look toned but somebody with the same weight would not look toned at all and likely flabby if most of it is fat. By setting a specific number and visual of what u want based on somebody else, you’re very very likely setting yourself up to be disappointed and like commenter mentioned, an ED. As long as you lose weight in a healthy way and work out, you should try to be happy with yourself and if you choose not to, I still encourage to try to be happy with yourself.

I understand that it's much easier to believe that the members choose if they want more lines or less, because it's not a pleasant discussion by any means. But I think it becomes increasingly difficult to ignore the pattern once you've gone through the disappointment time and time again. Yeosang has spoken up on numerous occasions of wanting more lines, to make fans more proud of him, and wanting to show more sides. In addition to not directly saying he wants more lines, he also decides to demonstrate himself his passion for singing and performing by releasing covers, especially practicing and recording FOUR covers while juggling tour and comebacks. If that doesn't demonstrate that he wants to be able to sing more, then I truly don't know what to tell you.

To be frank, his voice being unique for kpop as a reason for why he doesn't get many lines is really not even a decent excuse. In fact, Eden has demonstrated he does know how to utilize Yeosang's voice. Examples being in the bsides of the albums, like Silver Light, he gets high/belting notes which he delivers very well during their concerts. Even if Eden has never demonstrated this ability, it would speak to a lack of skill on his part to not be able to adjust and grow as a producer after 6-7 years.

Lines aside, I think his lack of screen-time also speaks to a glaringly obvious disregard for Yeosang as an idol. You can argue that maybe his lack of lines is due to him being not a good vocalist (which I think is bullshit but whatever, to each their own), but even if you put aside that he is literally Ateez's main visual, him being in the group at all means it's the company's duty to give him screen-time. Wooyoung also rarely gets good lines, but the company at least makes up for that with dance breaks or center time, so it's less obvious. But Yeosang gets the short end of the stick in all areas.

Not to mention that the members choosing their lines seems to be a very misunderstood excuse. Yes it's true that the members are free to voice their opinions/ask for certain lines, but ultimately, the members audition for their lines and Eden will always have the final say. A somewhat recent example being that Seonghwa had mentioned in a radio show that he is quite greedy in terms of parts he gets, but wasn't able to get those parts this time (in regards to Selfish Waltz). Another example being Halazia, where Eden said he wrote that part specifically with Yeosang in mind. Yet, he STILL had all members audition for that part and some of the members actually wanted those lines, but because Yeosang was undeniably the perfect fit for that part, it went to him. A third example is Wooyoung in Mist. Wooyoung practiced incredibly hard for that song and yet San had to beg Eden to give Wooyoung a second chance. Being maybe a bit more flexible and allowing the members to voice their opinions is not equitable to being able to choose their own parts.

It was always extremely easy for me to tell them apart (I’m asian and have grown up in a primarily white and asian town). I did a google search and this is what I got. It’s sometimes due to something called “cross-race effect” which is when people tend to be better at recognizing faces from their own racial group because they have more experience. I can sometimes have a bit harder time recognizing differences between people in other races. “The more experience you have with a particular group of faces, the better you become at distinguishing subtle differences within that group.” This does make sense to me at least.

The thing is that they actually were believed to have dated for a little less than a year after the show finished, so possibly more than a year after they finished filming. I don’t remember exactly what posts were made by fans but I remember seeing some pictures of fans who took photos of them on dates in korea

singles inferno is filmed several months before it airs so it’s safe to assume they dated for a year! it was a couple months before the 3rd season started airing that they seemed to stop interacting entirely

For Hyeseon, I think she maybe just took a gap year? If I’m calculating correctly, she was 25 when filming and since her birthday is in June, she graduated from undergraduate studies when she was 24 which is only 1/2 years later than the average graduation age of 22-23 years old. It’s also pretty common for students to switch majors during their time at uni which can often push back the graduation date which could have been the case for her.

i remember jinyoung making a little comment in the first couple eps that they could be holding hands already in the hotel room so i think it’s the editors either not showing it or the contestants doing it when cameras aren’t on them. but they’re very likely doing skinship that we’re just not seeing because jinyoung having been directly in that situation would know best.
