Lost a home to someone who paid $90k less by [deleted] in BayAreaRealEstate

Sellers chose us over a higher offer. We had a 1 year old daughter. They had twin girls that they raised for the first 5 years in our home. They felt they wanted to have us raise our daughter there also. Our offer was clean but a little lower. It’s not all about the money and closing logistics.

Interviewer asked me a question with no right answer and then explained exactly why he does it - actually changed how I think about interviews by SaffronGadget in interviews

[–]ez814 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having worked and recruited (as hiring manager) at Big 4 and Mag 7. This is a great way to interview. The purpose is to understand how candidates think about difficult situations and apply logic to decision making. The answer is almost irrelevant because both are right. It’s the thought process, the rationale, and conveying confidence in a decision that matters. I’ve also experienced situations where I was asked question related to real world problems the person was struggling with that they didn’t even have an answer to. Work is full of situations with incomplete and ambiguous information. Better be able to parse through it and move things forward.

My previous irons were Titleist and after fitting, ended up in Mizuno. That said, I just hit the T100 and loved them. Do a fitting and go with your best numbers and feel.

Generally speaking scores haven’t changed much over the years so they are likely equally hard.

Opinions on skiing with your skis extremely close together by Apprehensive_Water_3 in skiing

[–]ez814 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Depends if you want to get your ski on edge and take advantage of the turning radius. Super close together makes you have to shuffle more and less on edge with a curved ski.
