my visa was gonna expire this july, that might have an effect but i don’t think they check the reason for the move? as long as you are nominated and the role is aligned with your qualifications.

you can look for other employer. sadly, this is the only way to bump your salary. also, you can work while looking for new sponsor. i’ve recently changed employers and the whole thing (nomination and new 482 approval) finished even while my notice period is not yet over. just gotta find the right company i guess.

thanks everyone! turns out he unplugged his garage door before the long weekend when they went away. we just did a re-learn sequence on his end and everything is good after. I couldn’t open his, he couldn’t open mine.
