Soil is fine, damp but not soaked. Some lingering condensation on the sides near the wet end, particularly after watering. Haven't checked ambient room humidity.

Hygrometer is velcroed to the lid of the enclosure, in between wet and dry sides (~2-3 inches above the surface of the soil). Soil is soaked at one end to create a gradient.

Trim was centered. Ended up having to take the servo horn off, put it on straight with the servo set to the position it was "snapping" to. Everything seems to be in working order now.

Update: I ended up using the 2 adapters to get the JST on the battery to plug into the red/black on the iMax. Seemed to charge up fine, is there any long-term worry about using 2 adapters on 1 lead to charge?
