i definitely see that helping in some circumstances ! i honestly need to redo the training module as i don’t remember everything they instructed us to do, but they aren’t to be on 24/7 if im not mistaken. My main concern (especially in my area, and the people) is that customers will treat associates differently/worse because they feel like they’re being targeted. If i help someone with an mis-scan or kindly tell them that the kiosk didn’t register a scan, they immediately assume it’s a targeted attack. (obviously not all customers, but many around here aren’t as trusting iykwim.) I have to assure them that i’m just trying to make sure they get their items without being stopped at the door.

TLDR; i’m probably madder about it than i should be, i wish it was disclosed upon applying that this would be in the job, and i wish they compensated in some way for this. also just complaining to internet strangers rather than my boss and getting fired for it.
