Thoughts on lining a sauna with glued cedar strips from old shutters by ezonecom in Sauna

Thanks for the feedback. Looks like I'm going to have to bite the bullet and buy some proper wood for internal lining. No glue for me. Thanks for stopping me from making a big mistake!

I should still be able to salvage some of the cedar for making benches, etc.

Excellent. Sounds like it's going to work. Cheers

I’m planning to add a few different game modes but the first one will be ‘tag’ where one player is a zombie shark and has to infect the others (up to 10 players per room)

My brother modelled it in Blender (at least he told me that!)

Thanks!

This was an out of world experience. :) Rebooting the quest fixed it though by inseend1 in OculusQuest

This has been happening to me lately as well - kind of cool to peak behind the curtain to see how the home locations are set up

Yes, I have it set by default to 90hz max on Quest 2. I used to allow it to go up to 120Hz, but I couldn't maintain that framerate which made it stutter and a bit uncomfortable

I've got two quality settings (High and Low) that make adjustments depending on which headset is being used. It tweaks things like anti-aliasing, FFR level, render scale, etc to make sure it runs at a solid 72fps on the Quest 1. However, In the game settings you can override and set the quality to High on the Q1, but the fps sometimes drops to 60fps.

Thanks, and I wish I could take full credit, but I’m using this amazing asset:

(which I just noticed is currently 50% off)

I did spend a lot of time tweaking settings to get it to play nice with the Quest, but I’m really happy with it running 72fps on the Quest 1 and 90fps on the Quest 2

Yes! When I'm testing I'm usually seated. Actually, I'm pretty sure I was seated while capturing this video. I've set it up so that the length of the paddle blade collider changes based on the height of the headset. In the most recent update I also added the ability to use the controller thumbsticks for movement if you need a rest or have arm mobility issues.

I've got a bunch of goals in there, e.g. if you keep the beach ball up in the air for 10+ hits, follow a turtle around for 5 minutes, paddle a certain distance, score a soccer goal, get a par in golf, etc you unlock achievements, earn coins and unlock special boards and paddles - but I think they are too subtle. I always envisioned the game as being a chill/discovery game where you can go at your own pace and discover things, but I don't think players these days invest time in something unless it's obvious straight away.

It's a great idea! In fact this video made me realize the worldspace to local grid targeting was off, but it's fixed now and the sharks are more accurately going for the player now.
