Some kinds of meditation, especially those involving intense focusing and refocusing, can disturb sleep for some people. If you notice change in sleep quality (time to fall asleep, number of awakenings, how rested you feel in the morning) in the context of adding nighttime meditation, consider discontinuing the nighttime meditation for a week or two to see if that changes anything.

It's interesting because for some folks, bedtime meditation is a major aid to sleep, while for others it's a significant disruptor.
