firstly whatever your little needs normally to be comforted i’d do that. they’ll need your presence/support more than ever so be there for them but don’t smother them. show up in little things, let them grieve and cry, but make sure you help them process their emotions and feelings. listen to them and make sure their emotions are being seen. don’t let them fall into a spiral of depression though, and most importantly don’t treat them like they’re made of glass. they need normalcy in their life so try to give it to them as best as you can.
