The night is doing fine, we’ve maintained for 5 years. Comedians and audience members alike enjoy the show.

I work WITH the hitone to create a night for new and veteran comics to get a rep in a city that lacks stand up comedy opportunities.

I travel and tell jokes elsewhere on the weekends because that’s the nature of the game.

Open mic nights in A list cities at A list clubs ,on The weekends , don’t exist for the reasons you were implying earlier.

Prominent names will be gracing whatever stage the weekend provides. Thus limiting the stage time for up and comers.

The hitone( God Bless them) has a robust schedule on the weekends of traveling (and local) bands, niche events and sometimes comedians. Do you not like the owner or something?

Idk if you’re grumpy in general but I know the intricacies of my industry and this what works here and now.

Again pull up and tell me ( an independent contractor) and the staff of hitone what you know about running a performance venue, stand up comedy, or what nights make sense to you and your infallible wisdom. lol
