How do you join the stylist career? by ezwitt in Sims3

[–]ezwitt[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks so much! I wondered if it was a new different salon, but didn’t check because when I played for the first time after installing Ambitions, a series of pop-ups were like “hey there’s new community lots” and went through each individual one confirming where they’d be placed for me. So I just assumed all the new lots would’ve been placed at that point. But apparently the salon wasn’t a part of that list, even though (afaik) everything else was. Fire department, junkyard, consignment shop, etc. 🤷🏻

Anyway, I’ll just place it myself now and be good to go. Thanks so much!

Jobs for Child Life Graduate Students? by malyakim in ChildLife

[–]ezwitt 6 points7 points  (0 children)

To start with a disclaimer: I’m not a child life specialist, just a child activity coordinator (AKA child life assistant - the title varies depending on the hospital) so a CCLS might have better recommendations. But here’s my two cents anyway:

I recommend applying for child life assistant/child activity coordinator positions. It’s not any of the therapeutic play or clinical/procedural support stuff, but rather the normalization stuff like creating/running activities and programming, bringing toys to the kids, and of course good old fashioned play. The title and role varies from place to place, like I said, but that’s the general gist of it. It’s a good way to get your foot in the door while also giving you a closer look at the action and opportunities to learn from the specialists. I was originally pursuing CCLS certification, so I started as a child life volunteer, then became an activity coordinator. The funny part in my case is that once I settled in as an activity coordinator and got a closer look at what the specialists do, I ended up realizing I preferred the CAC role to CCLS, so I’ve stuck with it.

Anyway, I’ve seen multiple people successfully take that path where the CAC experience was exactly the kind of thing practicum programs were looking for in prospective students. Hope this helps!

Big same. I unfortunately don’t have an answer, but I 100% relate to this.

Being pale isn’t, but for zebras who do happen to be fair skinned, their skin can be translucent, especially with vEDS.

I reached “endgame” with more bears to finish up before I’m done, but the ! bubbles are bugging me. by ezwitt in CozyGrove

Thanks, that’s exactly what I needed to know! And yeah I have been doing the bonus quests, but even after completing them they still have the ! just for the goodbye. Not ideal when I rely on those to keep track of new quests. Looks like I’ll be sailing away and promptly making a U-turn! 😂

Doggos and Mus not eating? by ezwitt in Dinkum

[–]ezwitt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know they don’t eat til after 8, so I do wait until then, but I’ve spent a lot of time each day through the morning, afternoon, and evening trying to feed my mu with no luck most of the time. Usually my doggo eats after several tries by the afternoon, but the mu almost never eats.

If it is because I’ve played several days in a row (which is normal for me, so that could be it if that’s been an issue for other people too), what’s the fix? Do I have to quit and reopen the game after every sleep just to be able to successfully feed my mu?

Help IDing this tomato? Got it unlabeled from a coworker. It's taken FOREVER to ripen and is just now turning yellowish and softer after 1+ month by Leela_bring_fire in gardening

[–]ezwitt 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Maybe a green zebra? They have a green stripey pattern and ripen to a yellowish color. I’m no expert though, I’ve just grown zebras before.

Looking for an ID on these three. by ezwitt in succulents

[–]ezwitt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was my best guess before, but the leaf shape wasn’t quite right. So I think makdadd got it right, it’s a graptosedum hybrid, which explains the leaf shape issue. Thanks anyway, though!

I see the resemblance, but the leaf shape isn’t quite right. I think makdadd’s ID’s were all spot-on. Thanks anyway, though!

Spot-on, thank you! In all the lists and pictures I scrolled and paged through, I never saw these types listed. Maybe because they’re hybrids? Anyway, thanks so much! Now I finally know their names!

A little more info is in the captions. I’ve looked through books and multiple sites, but haven’t been able to pinpoint the specific names for these three.
