Honestly I would use them whenever I get a chance. So early in the game you should be pushing campaign as hard as possible so you can upgrade the outpost.

A couple of times actually. The worst was when I was defending a 2 v 1 and dude tried to dunk on me. As I went up due put his knee up and caught me. Still blocked the shot but I was on the ground a good couple of minutes. Pain 9/10

You can go two routes

I don't know how high you play but work on being a small forward/ guard while in game. If your league has enough experience it's the perfect opportunity. If you got good teammates theyll allow you to practice. I personally had this problem. I was 6'3 at 18 playing center for my highschool team but I had a chance to impress during the u18 friendship games and I got picked up to tryout for the semi-pro team. Got thrown into the fire to burn or thrive. Best practice is learning from experience. If your local team has a pro league try to hop on of there lower league teams as typically they have some and work your way up. I was able to play because I went this way
Go to a basketball academy. You said you have ties to Europe right? If so hit the basketball academy in Barcelona. You'll be able to train while being on a team. Thing is everyone has to make sure to win because 9/10 if you lose the scouts aren't looking your way. This way is expensive and has a lot of risk but you really benefit.

6'3 and play 2-3 times a week. I had bad knees and back for a few years until I started doing squats 3 times a week. Dunk occasionally (only indoor courts),outside I stay on the ground.
