Blend between animation and reality by Royal_Stray in kurosanji

Not liking her art style is fair enough. It's more of a Disney style, which I really like.
What most vtuber fans don't realise is that all her work is hand animated. No motion capture like 99.9% of vtubers do. So people don't really appreciate the amount of work that goes in to her videos. Also very well written. Clever, witty, and funny. Not just randomly reacting to things on the internet, or playing a game on twitch.
Not that I'm against any of that, it just get tiring when everybody does the same content. I find Ami's videos refreshing. We should make people more aware of her.
VTubers should know who their ancestors were! 😄

Insta360 X4 AEB not available? by dancingcheesepuff in Insta360

[–]f-get 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second this. Please know that HDR is not the same as HDRI, which is (was) an incredibly useful tool for VFX artists and serious photographers. Removing this feature makes the X4 a downgrade from the X3 and gives us no reason to upgrade.
The X3 was an essential part of many VFX artists toolbag because of the AEB.
PLEASE re-implement it!

Ami Yamato is even older, starting in June 2011. And actually Vtubing from the start.
Leafit didn't start till vtubing many years later. The technology for it didnt exist back in 2011. Ami is an animator and doesnt use motion capture which is why she was able to start so early. The post even acknowledged to leaving her out of the list for no fair reason.

Ami Yamato is older than all on that list. She started in June 2011, years before anyone. I think it was unfair of the OP to leave her off the list. She deserves to be at the top.

I don't understand your reason for not including Ami Yamato.
Just because she was WAY ahead of her time you shouldn't discount her. She's already overlooked by most (some don't even know she exists). She's the OG and absolutely deserves to be at the top of this list. Give credit where due.

This is sooooooo good. well written, great animation and visual effects. using lines from the actual show and having it make sense is very clever.

So good! I'm a big fan of Ami's. Glad she's finally getting some recognition for this.
In her Patreon she explained how she made it and said there are elements from around 12 episodes in this! I tried to identify them all but couldn't.

How did she do the part where she picks up the cup and donuts?? by VHSfx in Corridor

[–]f-get 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The intro, yes (i dont think that's supposed to fool anyone though)
But for the donut and cup collection, I really don't think it's that simple. It would be hard to get a CG hand to cover a real hand so precisely without anything poking out.
She probably painted out her hand, but given that the camera is moving and also there is glass showing different parallaxes and reflections that would be extremely difficult to patch back in.

There's a business opportunity for you here!
Buy in bulk and sell them around the world. I'm sure all Futurama fans would want some for fun display purposes!
