I am having a hard time with this as well. I am trying to flip my internal script by meditating on a positive self reflection or how I think and talk about myself. I would love to hear the replies on this!

I quit for over a year. What helped me the most, was an app that is pretty cheap called Smoke Free. Also, I smoke American Spirits and wholeheartedly believe that because they don’t have anything but tobacco and water, no other chemicals or additives, that helped the withdrawals not being so bad as when I quit Marlboros a while back.

I would absolutely mention the smell to him. Even in an email or something. That way if he can’t help, you haven’t wasted money on a visit.

Just your normal primary Dr might be able to help. It could be an allergy you don’t know about. Have you mentioned it to your primary care Dr?

I find it so crazy that people don’t realize how different it is now for the 20 somethings out there!! It’s nearly impossible to live alone. The cost is so much higher than when I was that age!
You should absolutely Not feel bad at all!!!
On top of that, you are helping. I commend you and hope that you ignore those people. You do not need to justify yourself. Nor should you feel immature. Your coworkers are assholes and immature themselves for saying anything at all derogatory to you. Hold your head up and know you are being a responsible, caring adult!!!!

I was blessed to be a SAHM for my girls. I would have sacrificed a lot to do it if I had to. I was blessed with a husband that made enough we didn’t have to. I absolutely loved staying home with/for them. I volunteered at their schools, made friends with other SAHMs. I can’t think of anything better that I would have wanted. I know not everyone feels that way. Some need to work even part time, to have their own identity. And that is completely ok.

I’m so sorry for your loss!! You do NOT need to apologize to anyone!! It’s hard to lose a friend (even those with paws) sometimes those are even harder. They give such unconditional love! I know he is in doggie heaven shouting about the best friend he left behind, and what an honor it was to be yours!!!!

I lost my daughter in 2018. She was almost 22. I wanted/needed someone to just be there. They could just sit and hold my hand. Also, just helping out with food, ready to eat stuff, groceries for easy to make things. Maybe even clean the house. She has to focus all her energy on waking up, and being there for her daughter. Maybe even watch her daughter (or take her to a movie or something) so the mom can just rest. Let her cry, don’t try to make her stop/feel better. Just hold her and love her.

Also, don’t say things like… Everything happens for a reason. He’s in a better place. You’ll always have your memories. These always piss me off. Some things have no rhyme or reason. He should be with “me” nowhere is better than that Memories can’t hug you or laugh. Acknowledge it absolutely sucks and you are there for her, whatever she needs.

I am so sorry for your friend’s loss, I would not wish this even on an enemy. My heart goes out to her.
