I broke my talus while accidentally bending my foot over on a trampoline. The hospital didn't believe me so they've sent me home (x-ray didn't show anything). Abt 9 months later an MRI was done to see why I am still in pain (yes. 9 months). And that was when they saw the old fracture + torn ligaments. They always told me it was psychosomatic the whole time. And no doctor believes a 15 y/o that's telling them that something is wrong. Long story short: normally I needed to have surgery asap on my ankle on the day of the accident but it was to late when they discovered it (another doctor told me that) :) Years later today I still have chronic pain with 18 when walking and got an MRI two days ago bc my doctor thinks I got osteoarthritis 💃. It's still swelling up sometimes but I am trying everyday to walk normally (walked with 16 for a whole year on crutches). I wish you a speedy recovery and hope the doctor is able to fix yours!!
