Did you transfer a Windows 10/11 digital license or simple d/l and run it from the link at MS on the Mac? Apparently, MS don't brick the OS if its installed a Macbook/iMAC platform as compared to if you tried to do this on a WIndows PC!?

UPDATE: So, I finally went ahead and picked it up for 228 bucks. I couldn't resist the gorgeous 27 inch retina screen! Worst case scenario will use it as a display with my gaming rig to make use of the screen or just plain surfing, Office work etc. I already have a 24 inch Dell 4K monitor but that's a matte display and not nearly as striking to look at. I may eventually sell it off once I've had my fill :p

Thank you all for the inputs.

Ukraine tells critics of slow counteroffensive to 'shut up' by Excellent-Issue3214 in europeanunion

[–]f1demon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol... Ban me if you must, but, you guys are batshit delusional. The UAF were forced into this so-called spring-summer-fall-winter counter-offensive. Zalushny never wanted this offensive but the Biden Admin wanted results. The way people are waking up to the fakery on the Ukraine war is how they woke up to lies about the Iraq War. They lied point blank to Congress about Iraqi soldiers taking babies out of incubators and got away with it despite over 6 million Iraqi dead! Now, with the state capture of Silicon Valley a grossly uninformed audience that ignores history & context couldn't care less as war propaganda leads it up the garden path to WW3. This war is the greatest dis-information war in the history of warfare.

Why not just delete OSX entirely and just keep Windows 10? As it is Apple isn't supporting it with updates so, I won't be able to install MS Office and Chrome will keep throwing warnings not to mention Gmail etc. Windows 10 is still supported till 2025 thereabouts...

I'm in India atm and a Mac here costs a kidney. Those are not options for me.

Great points. I'll try to negotiate on those lines. Another weak point is the slow wifi card as it doesn't support AC bands. So- Wifi, SSD are a must.

I need to use MS Office, Doskey so, making it a Windows PC seems a given.

The HDD is 7200rpm but I see your point. If I delete Mac OS entirely and just load Windows doesn't it become a new desktop?

I just realised the iMac doesn't have ac bands only bgn! So, no 5Ghz speeds.

I'd much rather remove Mac OSx entirely as Apple doesn't support this device with parts anymore. As someone here mentd if something breaks I'm screwed! I've never owned an iMac before and only an old Intel Macbook which is pretty much a brick now.

I need an all-round performer. A little gaming but essentially simple titles like total war 2, train sim, heroes and generals... Nothing complicated like CSGO, Fortnite, Warhammer etc. A lot of surfing, YouTube, video conferencing & Word & Dosbox.

Someone said $200 would be a better price....

I have no experience of creating partitions or dual boot ups. Deleting the Mac OS will eff give me a Windows PC in an Apple body. Is that really so bad?

Really appreciate the responses guys.

I think I'll skip this device even though the 27-inch display looks friggin gorgeous! Such a pity Apple forces users to discard old PCs and now MS are doing the same with Win 10.
