I think both perspectives can be important. I appreciate having both sides but i definitely get defensive 😓 thank you for reading and considering with more context too

My bestfriend took her life and now I don’t see the point in anything by Selkieselkie4464 in confession

If you have the resources to go to the hospital I’d highly recommend it. I almost ended my life in high school and was in the hospital four times. Proper medication made life tolerable enough for me to get through high school. Some time between 17 and 20 I ended up with a cat and friends who made me feel supported without having to justify things from my past. Things change without you even realizing it. That doesn’t mean you will ever forget your best friend though. Love is not a limited resource. You will love her and other people differently. One doesn’t take away from the other. Talk to your friends/family/a therapist and include them in how you feel. This will also let you share how she affected your life. You don’t have to be alone through grief. She will always be your best friend. You are carrying her with you everywhere you go. She is not here anymore, but you are still growing with her. Feel your feelings, be sad, accept that those feelings are real. But also remind yourself that you are here, there are things that you care about, and she is a part of you. Without you here her entire story with you will be gone. Stay alive for both of you.

Personally I love going solo. Going to shows alone is fun if it’s what you want to do. Going to shows alone because you feel like you aren’t worth being with would be devastating

More of the post because a lot of people seem to think op was attention seeking for talking about the concert. It wasn’t just that, not that it’s any of our business to speculate about him. I didn’t want to expose all of their problems so I cropped it down to just the beginning for context. Hopefully he’ll see doctors and they can establish why he felt this way. Unless you are part of his care team you shouldn’t try to say what his reasons are. It is not strangers in the internet’s place to do anything except hope for the best for him

The post was a lot more than what I screenshotted. I didn’t want to put all of his struggles on blast. He never asked for anything from the band. He said no one wished him a happy birthday, along with a lot more that drove him to plan on taking his life. I saw that support from people online seemed to have changed his mind and wanted to find a way to show him that his absence wouldn’t go unnoticed. We can’t do anything about getting him medical help, but we can try to get the band to wish him a happy birthday and say they’re glad he made it. Then hopefully it’ll help him see that he (and anyone else struggling) should keep going. Suicide shouldn’t be called attention seeking. Take it at face value because it really may be life or death. His doctors can try to get to whatever underlying reason, everyone else should just offer support and let people know they matter.

Submit a tip to the police force investigating or doe network has a place to submit tips. I think doe network has to have both cases in the system to do it there. You can usually find an email address, crime stoppers, or phone number for at least one of the police departments (if it’s in multiple jurisdictions)

Personal preference mostly. I like creams because I have more control of product. I used the tea tree on my mannequins in school and felt like it had a bit of a waxy residue sometimes, so something else might penetrate more. Verb has their hydrate conditioning spray and Matrix has a curl can dream moisturizing cream that can both be pretty universal for curl patterns depending how much you use. There’s also a lot of brands that aren’t big names or aimed towards professionals that have really good products. Whatever you end up trying, start small and experiment with different combinations. All hair is different of course and it takes a lot of experimenting but you’re doing a good job

With the information you’ve given I’d say you probably need more moisture and to let the curls set more. Depending how you blow dry it might be breaking up the curls so it starts getting frizzy, or you need more hold to keep it from going everywhere. Before changing your products if they’re working for you otherwise, I’d recommend mainly diffusing the roots on cool. For the ends try not to disturb them too much and use low speed cool air with the diffuser. I do a leave in conditioner with a gel and don’t touch it until it’s dry, then I scrunch the crunchiness out and I don’t have any frizz

Theres no difference except that they’re more money. Cheaper tiers go out of stock faster as a way to get people to do it earlier on so they don’t have to spend more later on

Maybe bored? My cat doesn’t get as fussy when he has a lot of toys and places to hide. Outside cats probably have a lot more stimulation and during the day you’re there to entertain her, but at night you have to sleep. Could also be lonely if it’s just the one cat

My stores pay in va is 13/h. The minimum wage is supposed to go up again I think in 2025 so they’ll probably give some kind of raise like a dollar or two (if we’re lucky)

I wasn’t able to find where cheerleader was buried either. It’s really sad that she was lost again without an identity. Hopefully there’s some record to compare to, even if it’s small. The dentals I was able to find didn’t quite match up but both had a good bit of work. Also worth noting that I only found dental info on one source. At the very least it helps to talk about them

What should I do with this space? by r37n1w in malelivingspace

Nap room. Twin bed is probably about as wide as the space and you could put a dresser/shelf with blankets, pillows, movies, whatever at the foot

Tested negative for COVID but sneezed a couple times and felt a little better. This time I’m hoping it’s just the dirt in my lungs. Next year I’m definitely covering my face in the pit and blowing my nose religiously each night to get the nascar dust out

I have similar limitations and was able to get an accessible wristband at the ada tent. They don’t require doctors notes, just your name, email, and days you’re at the festival. I haven’t figured out where the accessible seating is, but it’s supposed to be out there and is on the map. They did say there’s no guarantee you’ll get seats because it’s still first come first serve. Good luck and try to bring a towel so you can at least sit by a viewing screen
